I have been doing some research on coilovers and the BCR ones seem to be a good and affordable option. I must admit that the installation is scaring me a little. I am not mechanically inclined so I would ask a friend ( who is ) to help me out. What I am the most worried about though is height adjustment. I read a few threads about how to install and adjust but I still had a few questions. I managed to find the installation ''manual'' online and went through it. Let's just say that it didn't give me full confidence. Circuit Motorsports seem to be the place to buy this kit ( I have read nothing but good reviews about you guys ) so I had a few questions to ask.

1) Can you please explain to me, in simple terms, how to adjust the height, especially in the rear ( adjusting springs and shocks? ). Seems to be more complicated in that area?

2) I had read somewhere ( I think ) that you could choose between different springs?

3) How low can I go without having to buy extra parts?

4) Will the parts work in a -20 ºF environment ( that's how cold it gets in the winter )?

5) Being in Canada, what kind of support will I get if I run into problems with the install or with the parts if defective for example?

6) Is there a LXF price?

I had more questions while researching but that's all I can think of for now. I don't race, street or track. I have a wife and 3 young kids so I'm looking for a mild drop ( in between 1''-2'' ) with a comfortable ride.

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my questions.

1). In the simplest terms; you set the ride height via the spring tensioner and then use the shock adjustment to keep tension on the the lower arm, holding the spring in place.

2) There are 2 spring options, but we recommend the standard kit for most people.

3) You can go very low on the standard kit.

4) Yes they will operate at low temps.

5) BCR covers you for the full 1 year warranty.

6) Yes, PM sent :)

So, what are the 2 spring options? Is there one more tailored to V6s or V8s? Would one work better as a stock replacement for an SRT or R/T?

Any gains with installing this kit, but keeping the stock ride height?

2009 RT AWD here. I hate the way this car handles (likes to wander, sensitive steering, body roll, understeer etc.)

Not trying to drop it or rally race it. I don't mind the stock height. I just want to make it handle better without ripping any of the components a part...

how much drop are you talking about when you say you will need special camber adjustment parts?
There is no specific height, there are too many variables involved. But if you plan on going lower than an inch you will probably be farther out of spec than a stock setup would be able to get back to.

If it's not too far out some people will just leave it to save money, that's your call.

What other parts would I need?

Rear camber bushings and front adjustable upper arms?

a 2 inch drop is well tolerated on AWD LX cars?? I have been dying to drop my AWD.. I really don't like that gap, but can live with it if it means harming suspension components lowering it.

Aside from some negative camber in the rear my awd worked very well with bcr coilovers at a pretty good drop i have no gaps now and it still ridee fine left the rear camber alone because i like it
