I've read in a few other threads about this problem and it looks like i'm next to experience this.

The kit has been on the car for about 8 weeks now about 3000KM of mostly hwy driving. Last weekend my right rear developed a rattle. I checked everything on the rear of the car it was still tight. This week the rattle has turned into a clunk.

I pulled the rears wheels off again today and checked for the 2nd time. Everything is still as it was originally installed.

So I've been cursed with being sent a kit with the wrong "squeaky" bushings and now this. I love the ride of this kit but these problem as really starting to get under my skin.

How are other people solving this issue?

It could be an install issue or something else.

Have you called BCR about it? The best thing to do with an issue like this is to contact them and they can run through the possibilities with you to make sure it's installed correctly and if it could be something else. If it does turn out to be a warranty problem then they can issue you a replacement.

The install is not an issue and BCR is working with me on the problem. I just hate doing R&D after the fact.
Is it an install issue ?

If its hardware-related, then it would make me very happy to have decided to hold off on these for a while ...

It is not an install issue Fargo59 did the install so it should not be questioned.

It's possible that it's an isolated issue as I know of only two other cars that have reported an issue and talking to those owners their issue is slightly different to mine.

Let me state this for the record the BC Racing LX Coilover kit is a great kit one of the best I've ever owned. I just has a few bugs to sort out.

I also have the BC Racing BR Type coilovers and have a clunking sound in the passenger side rear and can't isolate the source. I installed new brake pads and inspected the install and found nothing loose. I had the dealer that did the install inspect the install and they found nothing loose. I am going to change the setting to see if that makes a change. By-the-way, since the damping force is an adjustable 30 postion shocks, what damping are you using front and rear?

I'm running 16 front 14 rear on my Magnum. I don't want a stiff ride just something between RT and SRT which is what I've got at this point.

the squeak

I'm getting the squeak in what seems my left rear unit -maybe both rears. I reapplied grease to both rear seats as specified in the knowledge base. Immediately stopped, but picked up again next day. I'm in south florida and have less than 500 miles on the BC's.

9/10 times the rear clunking is caused by the bottom strut bolt not being STUPID TIGHT. I mean... You have to crank hard as hell on it.

Mine did it the first time I adjusted them myself... Finally went bakc to the place I got them installed and had them put an air socket on it and tighten it way down.

I've had nothing but success with my BCR, if you're thinking about getting some they can't be beat for the money. Also, the guys at both Circuit and BCR are ridiculously amazing in the customer service department.

I have the dreaded right rear clunk too... The car is at the shop getting a few maintenance issues done and they are going to check it out.. Funny thing is that it just started yesterday... all was fine and then clunk...

It was actually the the shock collar adjuster.. I had to make it monkey tight.. All clunks gone...

Check the lower bolt mount, some guys says there is a tiny amount of play and use a bushing/washer.

The lower arm tolerances seem to differ slightly from car to car.

I think i found the fix.. My passenger side came loose a few days ago, and my local shop fixed the problem.. They only worked on the passenger side.. So now the drivers side came loose. So I am going to use the same fixer they did... Medium Strength loctite(blue)
