sway bar upgrade
That would be great, Im eager to install the BC, any sway bars that you would recommend? also are the control arms a decent difference or any positive gain from them?I swear by the BC Racing coilovers. They are awesome. Also, there are non-OEM control arms available. I bought a set of them last year. They are from a German company that begins with M (not Mercedes). If someone reminds me when I'm at home, I'll look up what they are.
Thanks for the tip, but how is the best way to launch the AWD RT without breaking anything? I am going with a high stall torque converter real soon. You'd have to ask the drag racers, but you don't want to launch an AWD like you do a RWD. You'll melt parts. I believe that the only Control Arms available are stock replacements. If you hear otherwise, please let me know.
There's also struts available from a vendor here.
I think I may start with this route on my 2009 RT AWD...I put an st suspension rear sway bar on, a mopar front strut brace, and bwoody rear end links. Car handles much better. Rear sway is a major pain in the butt to change, but I felt like it was worth it. Oh and that is on my 12 rt awd.
Is your car lowered? I have been reading online that dropping the AWD' cause havoc on the components (CV boot/joint, bushings etc.)I don't have aftermarket sways in. The coilovers stopped a lot of body roll in their tightest setting, and further softened the ride in their loosest setting. As for the control arms, I haven't noticed much if any difference, other than they haven't shown signs of wear like the OEM ones did after this much mileage.
