looking for a bit more sound. i hear cutting the suitecase muffler out is the best bang for the buck to make it sound good. anyone do this?

I cut the suitcases out of mine and it does have a nice rumble. There is a pretty good drone at highways speeds though. If this does not bother you then this is the way to go. At the time I did mine there was a guy selling the replacement straight pipes with chrome tips for around $150 (blastin bob). Don't know if anyone else sells a cheap kit.

Sorry, I was thinking resonators when I posted above. I still have the factory single muffler under the center of my MSRT. Removing the resonators is what gave my car the rumble (and slight drone at highway speed).

I like my Magnaflow, but if I had to do it over again I'd try the JBA kit. It's very inexpensive and a true complete cat-back also - On sale now - $399 from Tbyrne! http://www.tbyrne.com/Mopar/mopar.html

I have the magnaflow hiflow cats and the JBAs... I'd say its quite a bit more sound!

If you eliminate the suitcase, make sure the muffler shop makes it an x-pipe or h-pipe replacement.

I forget what the x-pipe on the stock system looks like, I know the jba system came with one.

how loud is it inside the car?
