Just wondering if anyone collected knives. I've been getting interested and always have found myself looking at different pocket knives.

I don't collect knives, but I have a close family member who is an avid gun & knife collector. He claims his gun collection is appraised north of $1mil. I dunno about that, but he has qute a bit of knowledge on the subject. I'll get some pics next time I see him.

Sort of. I've got a display case with knives that mean something to me. I've got my Dad's, Granddad's, and Greatgranddad's in there that they were carrying then they passed. I've got a few rare/odd one's with some advertisers names on them. But I've also got some old/collector tools and such in there too. I've also got a couple hunting knives that I keep loose.

I love my Victorinox Swiss army pocket knife, which are all I'll carry. I don't like the ones with all the gadgets. I like the ones with fewer tools and thicker blades. I think the one I carry now is called the "electrician" or something. It's got silver aluminum handles and a wire skinning blade. Tough, tough knives.

I don't care for novelty knives that much. I've actually a bunch of Franklin Mint civil war knives that were given to me as gifts that are still in the box. They have generals and scenes on them. But the knives themselves are kind of junky. For looking only. Just not my thing.

Maybe I do like knives after looking at all I typed into this post!

My husband has several pocket knives, but I couldn't even tell you what they are. :) He has always loved his Victorinox Swiss Army pocket knives though, he has three of them. One year I bought him one with a carrying case, and all the gadgets on it!!!! He loved it! It came with a compass, and other survival stuff. :)

I must admit that I do have a thing for sharp & pointies. The last acquisition was a gift from the wife, a Kershaw Rainbow Leek (a Ken Onion design):

It has the Kershaw "speedsafe" assisted opening feature (using a tortion bar) and gets the "oil on water" rainbow finish from a titanium oxide coating. It's a really hard coating that reduces the potential for picking up small scratches.

Big time pocket knife fan. Anything Ken Onion (as nikdfish says) is tops on my list. I've recently become a fan (believe it or not) of Columbia River; at around $40, anything in their "M" series is something you're not only proud to carry around, but not afraid to loose either.

I used to collect knives... stopped a number of years ago .... used to have 6 swords.... mostly movie replicas..ie. the highlander swords etc.....also a number of daggers and knives.... funny thing is that about a month ago I came across one of the collector daggers I got about 10-12 years ago... it is a replica of a "T" handle dagger from the movie "Total Recall"

Since we are all one great big happy family here, that and the fact that I will never have a collection again, I am willing to part with this dagger..... FREE. Just pay shipping(actual....no "handleing" charges and it's yours. Here are pics for anyone interested. The blade length is 4" .... overall length is 6 1/2". Let me know if your interested.

THIS IS, OF COURSE, ONLY AFTER I VERIFY THAT I WON'T BE BREAKING ANY LAWS BY SENDING IT THROUGH THE MAIL.

I recently bid on this one on e-bay, but it went a little too high for me. I love the Malachite in the handle.

I looked at this one as well, but WAY too expensive..

I ended up buying this Linder...I like its simplicity and the color of the wood as well as the brushed metal.

I've always wanted to pass along something to my son, so he can carry it and pass it along to his kids....I guess I have to have kids first!
These are awesome too...but a little expensive..

Switchblades. Always had a fascination for them and I have quite a few. It's a shame they are illegal!
