Hey guys, thought I'd start a thread and get the ball rollin on another meet. Options are endless, we could just meet or a coffee and listen to Jaak rev his engine. We could meet at one place and convoy it to another spot for a nice cruise. Or..... Drumroll please..... Meet up somewhere and cruise to the drag strip for a night of adrenaline pumping, foot smashing, trash talking 1/4 mile runs. I for one would prefer the last one of course but I'm easy. Any input would be welcome so pipe up and lets work on a date that works for most and lets set something in stone.

You know I'm in for option number 3.....

Well I'd do number 2 as well, but definately 3

Option 1....... Already did that one, I even REV'd it up for jaak to hear the BARK so once again I vote for 3.

Cayuga has a test and tune day Sat Oct 8th.
Could have a meet-up for breakfast/coffee someplace in Stoney Creek and then convoy out.

I'm game, I've been wanting to go to a strip all summer...

I'd even consider reviving hemiwagn's idea of renting the strip for a day, if there's interest. I'm just concerned about how many runs we'd get in on a test and tune day at Cayuga... 3? 4?

Already a step ahead of you Jaak. I've emailed Cayuga and asked them if it would be possible if we could run as a group, similar to what we did in Montreal. Basically the track officials would give us a 10 minute block once an hour so we can go heads up. Its a long shot but you never know. I'm just praying that the person who replies to the emails owns an LX. lol! To be truthfull though I'd like to see some other cars runs too. Hemiwagn, do you remember what the rates were for the track day?

I was likin the 8th as well but after further searching the TMSP website, I'm under the impression for October the test and tune nights are Friday night.

Good work Fred. IIRC the rates for private rental were like $2500-$3000,
and that may have been just one lane. My notes are at work so I'll check tuesday. I recall one fee for track, one for prep, one for timeslips, one for safety truck etc....

as to test and tune on Sat Oct 8th. their website seems to say it is a go

So Fred -- will since you have e-mailed them, can you see if they mean Sat the 7th or Sun the 8th?

doors open at 11, I went about that time last year to Cayuga and it is busy -- got 5 runs in tops. The 10min window idea would be great.

I was also thinking about Grand Bend, but it's a heck of a drive. On the plus side, less people, so more runs.
checked their website -- it looks like GB doesn't have any test and tune days on weekends left this year.

No, it's a Friday thing for them.
As an alternate, would the gang be interested in a Friday eve cruise to Grand Bend? -- would probably get a lot more runs in.....

I would come along for moron support :loser: but won't be racing for a while. Besides, don't think the sebring I am driving at the moment would be that impressive.... Looked up the specs.. the 0-60 didn't have a time, it had a checkmark.. 0-60 yes, it can do that.
1/4 mile. Yes, it can do that too.
