Well, after 6 months of planning and a few set backs here and there, all the parts are finally in and lets just say I am a very happy person right now!!

As stated in the other thread we were not able to install the "go" parts because one of the parts came in damaged and had to be sent out for repairs. Not a big deal but we had Erik (Hemi31) all lined up to do the install and had no idea when he would be back again to do it. After a lot of reading and thinking I decided to do the install myself.

So, first off, I would like to thank LXForums (too many people to name) for all the how-to, what if, this part goes here, beware of this, etc.. threads related to a head/cam swap. Between this great resource , the Service manual, and a few texts so some vendors and friends, I was able to get this done over a long weekend. The car started up on the first try and I am working with Johan right now tuning it up.

Here are a few pics of the install. These were taken with my cell phone so they are not the best.

Now the good camera. Still have a few items to put on, but I would say it is 95% done.

Lets just say the Corsa Extreme might be a bit too Extreme....:racing:

Didn't quite think it thru as that exhaust on a stock system would probably be a lot tamer. But with that cam and the higher CR, it takes it to the extreme (all pun intended).

Went to a friends house to visit and when I left I gave it a little (ok a lot) of pedel and their neighbors two doors down called them to ask wtf was that!! Need to find a friend with a video camera and do some recording but for now you will have to take my word for it. Or wait to hear it for yourself at the LX Nationals.

Oh, and Erik, one thing that made me want to do this myself is that after seeing you take a hammer to Al's car, I was a bit leery on you doing my car!

Do I see Redhorse fittings on the catch can lines and the fuel lines?

That was me hammering on Al's CAR btw.

Erik was just pounding on Al's MOTOR. Just to make sure the facts are straight.:mrgreen:

Not yet. Looking at cameras right now as I need a new one for SEMA.
