Ok guys, after searching around, I have not found anyone doing a 6 speed swap into a Magnum. Now that the Challenger is out with the factory 6 speed, in basically the same LX platform, does anyone know if the parts will bolt into the Magnum? This is one mod I would love to do. Im kinda new here so this may have been discussed before. Any info on this?

anything CAN be done, but at a cost. yes you can make the 6 speed from the challenger go into a magnum. but you would probably need to transfer significant amounts of floor pan, and possibly sections of firewall, large quantities of electronics, and driveline from a challenger. if i ever get to a point where i can afford another project car, i might get a mag and drop a TR6060 into it. would have to be an 08 to begin with, will make doing a lot of the work simpler.

The drive shaft is the easiest part to overcome, just build a new one with the right 'U' joints at each end.
The electronics are going to be the thing to figure out.
I wonder if the 'puter from the Challenger would be required?

Would be a very fun mod, albeit, and expensive one.
But then again, who does mods for the economy of the thing????

Personally I just think the Magnums are too big and heavy of a car to make a 6 spd fun. I seems smaller cars are better with a manual and large car seems better with an auto.

Plus as far as auto's go, are 5 speeds are pretty good. I doubt a Magnum would be any faster if it had a manual. And depending on how well you drive one, it might even be slower.
