I know it's said to use a 09-10 ecu from a hemi car, but does it have to be a 5.7 ecu or will a 6.1 ecu work?

6.1 PCM will not work, you need a PCM that fits in that architecture that is capable of running a VVT engine (the 6.1 is not a VVT engine); hence the 09-10 5.7 PCM.

Thanks, I assumed as much but wanted to verify. Explains the price difference in the used market.
