Here’s the big ticket. Your gonna need an adjustable timing set to advance the 6.1 cam to make power where you need it in a 5.7.

If I had the cam valve springs and pushrods for free or next to nothing. I’d spring for the timing set and have fun. But if you have to buy all of it, I’d go a different route. Any decent cam will need pushrods and springs either way. So really it comes down to the cost of the 6.1 cam and the adjustable timing set, throw in a few more bucks and there much better options.

been there :doh:done that 7 years ago, it only took me 2 months to take it out again.
