So I have roughly $1200 for some upgrades but not sure what to get.
It would have to be couple little things........

Here's what I have:
Heads and a cam
Torque converter
Nitrous - Zex
jba headers
zoomers
jba hi flo cats
6.1 injectors
Drag radials
Dss axles


Here's what I'm getting
1.Bigger cam
2.???
3.???
4.???



( Nano ? Throttle body ? underdrive pulley?Which one? ...........what else is there? intake manifold? )
Something else that I'm not thinking of?
Or keep saving for a stroker?


You know I just realized that I have too much sh*t and I don't know how my wife puts up with that.

Pulley is good, Quaiffe or better yet if posi comes out. Gears for that 6.1 Diff

Throttle body.....well the intake has a 80mm opening so IMO thats a waste some people like em

You are already in roll bar territory so thats a thought especially with a bigger cam

You know my feeling on this,

A. Put it down as a deposit for a stroker. You know you want to, good base to build off of.

B. GEARS!!!!!

C. CAMS !!! Cams have changed a lot in the last 2 years. Look at Mike Spy, with just a cam change 12.40 to 12.03

D. USED PARTS! You say what? I say there are tons of good used parts floting around, I sure you can get a new style cam and some good used long tubes and stay with in you budget.

Two cents: Save for a forged shortblock or stroker.

You can spend that cash on additional bolt ons that will give you another tenth or two . . . . .or you can strengthen that bottom end, spray it and see low 11's or dare I say it . . . high tens?

I want to be in the mikespy territory or go after Hemic record (thats a stretch) I don't think I want to invade Eriks territory with a 392 (He talks too much sh*t...lol)

So with the little things I am looking for the .2 to .3 improvement.

I guess my goal would be to hit 12.0 in the spring .Is that possible?

I will still be using nitrous.
But cold weather is only here couple of months out of a year so with the mods and nitrous I should still be below 12 seconds or hope to be close to 12 seconds in hot weather.

I forgot to mention that I have 6.1 rear waiting to go on.
Converter waiting to go on.
Ordering a bigger cam this week then.........................???

So you have $1200 to spend? Knowing what I know about the air flow in our intake, B.WOODY or Arrington port injector plates. Port injection Nitrous is the only way be sure of being safe over 150. You will likely need to go with a booster or aux fuel pump

With everything you have, I think you will need a bit more than $1200 to go faster and not risk your stock bottom end.

I think you should shy away from the nano nitrous pressure regulator. Getting fatter on the fuel the longer the spray is on will keep you safer
