Why does the 09 Daytona have the same gear ratio as the SRT8 but the 09 Road & Track doesn't? I thought the "Daytona" and the "Road & Track" were the same package minus the colors and decals.

Are you really looking for an answer here? Speculation is all you will get - Daytona Package was built as a premium clearly - why? Who decided? Will it sell more units - no clue.

Dodge has done a dozen things or 50 - that have made no sense at all, no rhyme or reason, and oddly enough - if you run a business like that long enough - well, you need a bailout :mrgreen:

I looked at a White Daytona Sunday and no mention of the 3.06 gear on the window sticker. It was number 204/400. $40,0xx. They also have a white R/T for just a few bucks less. No mention there for the gears either.

The non standardization of parts from car to car in the same platform is what never made any sense to me in Chrysler/Dodge products.

The gear ratio is seldom listed on the window sticker. You have to ask for the build sheet. That is how I found mine out.
