  1. 300C, Magnum RT & Charger RT (5.7L V8)
K, disclaimers. I'm new to doing engine work this in depth so excuse my ignorance. I recently got a comp cam Valve Spring kit for my 08 Charger 5.7. I noticed the stock springs have the cages, pre eagle style as I believe they're called. Obviously the comp cam springs don't come with the cage...
  2. Alberta LX (ALX)
Hey fellow Bertans. I'm finally doing my valve seals and springs and I've realized that I need that special spring compressor. Instead of spending $150 to $200 on one does anyone want to sell theirs or better yet rent it out to me? Located in Red Deer btw
  3. Challenger Discussion (2008 to 2014)
Have a 2008 Challenger, (SRT8 only option that year) with about 85,000 miles. Roads down here in the DFW metroplex have been under heavy construction in my area for the better part of 5 years. TBH, they're crap right now. I've got another front end clunk, that only happens when it's closer...
  4. Charger Discussion (3rd Gen - 2015 +)
Over the last few years I've cleaned car changed oil and filter, attached battery tender and that's it for winter storage, starts up in Spring no problem. I read where some disconnect battery, reconnect come Spring and car fires right up, Any advantage to either method?
  5. The SRT-8 (6.1L and 6.4L V8)
Hey guys so been having a cel p0307, cylinder 7 missfire. Change plugs didn't solve issue and pulled the valve cover today. All springs look fine except for the cylinder 7 (exhaust/bottom side) spring. I will add some photos but it almost looks like it either broke the top "washer/hat" or as if...
  6. General LX Discussion (3rd Gen - 2015+)
Anyone else see this video and try this? I don't know exactly how this system works, but this video claims that you can just pull the spring out and be full exhaust all the time and you won't throw a code. Curious if anyone has tried this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McYRVpQ8VWE
  7. Tires, Wheels and Suspension
I need tires before the snow flies as I'm down to about 4-5/32s now on the car.
  8. Transmissions Gears & Diffs
Does anyone know the order of clutches and discs in the diff of the Getrag. The clutches came out with two steels back to back opposite Bellevue spring. I think the diff has never been apart. Waiting on Vette clutch pack to come in.

  11. Newbie Check-In
I bought an 06 300c in the spring and lurked this forum a lot over the summer. Recently I've discovered it's got a blown head gasket, so it's set to get a bit of a port and polish + a new comp cams 273 and some srt headers and midpipes if I can get ahold of the right deal before spring. I...

I've landed a partial Sponsorship with a Coilover Company and I have a few Questions real quick. I have the Option to raise my spring rate for the Fronts. They don't have that option for the Rear. Now take into consideration I have a Wide Body and a much wider track width. I was told they...
  14. Automotive Electronics (Audio & Video)
Anyone have the wiring assignments for an 05-10 clock spring? I'm looking for a 12 volt feed (switched, or constant), or Panel Lamps Driver. Casually looked through the manual (section 8W), but couldn't find it :( HELP! LOL. Let's mod! Bob

Im trying to figure out how to detatch the rear lower control arm. Where the spring sits from the knuckle. I would appreciate any help
  16. Alberta LX (ALX)
Now with the car running again I am planning on heading down to Spring Fest next year. Just thought I would put it out there and see if any one else is interested and to start planning for it. It will be the end of march. The 15 year for it. It is an amazing time and really well put on. I am...
  17. Tires, Wheels and Suspension
Started noticing a pretty good clunk on rear passenger corner at low speed when hitting bumps in the road. I run BCR coil overs, so I checked for the typical cause: loose shock bolts and made sure spring was locked down. Everything seems tight. When I unbolted the spring link (4782598AC) from...

  19. At the Road Course
Talking to Penske Racing Shocks about doing a race setup for my Gen 1 and they're asking for feedback about any experiences of anyone doing away with the divorced rear spring setup and actually mounting the coil on the strut. The concern is that the area on the car that the OEM shock mounts to...
  20. Tires, Wheels and Suspension
Finally had a chance to install the KW kit on my 300. Overall the install went well, front install took about 3 hours and the rear about 2 hours. The front is really straight forward just time consuming because of needing to use a spring compressor to dismantle the stock set up. There are...
