To post pictures in posts, you first must have them uploaded to a photo hosting site such as www.photobucket.com. One uploaded, you copy the url of the photo FROM your browser window, and in the posting box, hit the "Insert Image" button just above the post box. In the pop up box, paste the URL of the photo and then click "Okay." The forum software will appear in you post as code, but when entered, it will be viewed as the picture located at the URL.
I almost had it by following your directions. Think I might bring my bird down here & see if she does any better. Nothing super fantastic, just my '06 Charger R/T. Wanted to share with people who appreciate them, even if they look stock, modified, 6 cyl or V-8. Ain't gonna give up just yet. But I wouldn't be opposed to help or suggestions. Thanks, Larry
If you have a picture/pictures uploaded in your photobucket account and you're signed in, all you need to transfer them here is:
1) Click the box under the picture(s) you want to transfer.
2) Click on "generate HTML and IMG code"
3) Left click the text in the box that says: IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards-recommended.
4) once all the text is blue, right click on it.
5) click on "copy"
6) go to the forum reply box, left click to put the cursor where you want the picture(s) to be, right click and click on paste and your picture(s) will be there. (it won't show the picture, just letters, until you post the reply or go advanced and preview your post, then it will show the picture), and you can see the picture full size by clicking on it, try it:

iv'e tried several times now, only got it to work, (the way i wanted it to) once... thanks for the help...
Okay Guys I need your help!!. I understand the photobucket and how to get the picture to the forums, but I am missing the part on where and How to resize that picture, and how to change the size small, big or large
Please help me!!!
i dont know if this is how to do it, but, i have made the picture larger, (click on it, in your photobucket) before i hit the copy any and paste, hope that helps....
Okay, more problems, I still can't do what I want to do with posting photos here.
Problem #1. My albums at Photobucket are "Private", so I guess I can't share them?
Problem #2. I still can't get 2 windows open at the same time.
Problem #3. I have my sites (LX Forums & Photobucket) saved on my list of "Favorites", when I click on one site, go there, then try to click on the second site, I lose the first site.
Problem #4. Is it better to type in the sites I want to go to in the Address line and not use my Favorites list?
One thing you can also do, if all you want is a link to a picture, instead of putting the image in a post, is to highlight (select, ie: click-n-hold and drag across the word(s) you want to be the link), leave that highlighted and go get the URL you want.
It's called 'direct link' on photobucket, select and copy that url into your clipboard and go back to your LXforums page and click that little globe-with-a-chain-link. Paste in the URL and click 'ok' and that highlighted text you had before now turns into a real link.
Mike
Edit: I don't use the IMG tags, I just use the direct url - that seems to always work just fine for me..
