    2011 TCM Tuning

    Hey folks,
    I've been considering getting a tuned TCM for my 2011 Charger to take advantage of my cam swap a bit more. Suggestion from MMX is 6000-6200 shift points and right now its stock shifting at 5500. But I am looking for recommendations on who is best suited to buy the TCM from? Also do you recommend buying another TCM and having it tune vs sending in the original? If I did buy another TCM, I assume the part number would have to match? Anyway, any ideas, experiences and light to be shed are all welcome. I haven't read much on 2011+ on the forums, most people all talk about the MPTCM for the earlier years.

    For the record, my car is a 2011 Mopar11 Charger. 5.7, stock heads and rotating assembly, MMX custom cam with PSI springs, shorty headers, Dynomax cat back and a Hemifever custom tune on 93. Running stock 3.92 Getrag LSD diff and stock converter with NAG1. Car is not really on the track, I plan to do a drag race here and there, but mostly its just a street driver.

    I would go with HemiTuner. I bought a new TCM from him and its been excellent for the past 5 years.

    Not trying to hi-jack the thread but, I have a similar setup and have questions about how you guys installed your new Hemituner (AJ) TCM’s. This could be useful information for the OP as well if he decides to go with AJ.

    I currently have a HemiFever tune in the car and have been told that the AJ TCM should “just work” with it. I take that to mean it’s just a remove & replace, plug & play operation.

    I’ve also been told that the best way to do it is to:

    return the tune back to stock, install the AJ TCM and save an “Original Backup” with the new AJ TCM and then install my Diablo or Custom tune?

    My question is will my HemiFever Custom tune still work with the “new original backup” since it was created using the other “original backup”?

    Would I need to have a new tune written with my “New” original backup that uses the AJ TCM?
