zf swap

Has anyone swapped a zf complete cradle and differential/axles/brakes in a chrysler 300 srt8 or similar? Looking to do this in my 2006 instead of the getrag swap. any info greatly appreciated

I installed a 2016 Hellcat complete rear cradle into my 06 Charger. Same rear cradle I believe as the 300.

You need a new driveshaft. I went with a one piece from DSS. Rear Brembos even hooked up to the factory system. I did have to change the wheel speed sensor harness... I kept the 06 one and it plugged right in and worked slick.

How much did you pay for the assembly if you don't mind me asking?

If I recall correctly, the rear cradle, diff with HC rear shocks and springs and Brembos was like $2800 from Cleveland Power and Performance. I sprang for the HC driveshaft as well...$350...not realizing that it was useless to me. The DSS one piece driveshaft was another $1k...so all told I'm in it for just over $4k.

I think now the rear cradles can be had for a lot less.

I found one on ebay from them for 1800+ with the 2.62. I was going to buy it and swap to the 3.09

I paid $1450 for mine with a 3.70 rear from a 2018 Hellcat with only 6,000 miles when pulled (he went to a 9").
Yes....you have to add a one-piece driveshaft for around $900 and a long wait. Plus... If you have a 2in/2out suitcase muffler, plan on changing that.... the driveshaft will hit it.

I have a 3.09 rear diff from my wife's '16 Scat Charger in there now and I traded a second spare 3.09 to a guy from Ohio for a 3.92 and hope to put that in later this year. That'll make for some smiles and plenty of stripes.... and maybe it'll cut a couple tenths of the 1/4 times.
