So, the eForce for my 09 cop car should be here any day now. If what i've reasearched is true, I should end up around ~475 HP and ~ 450 ft.lb at the wheels, with a good tune at 6-7 PSI and the long tubes. The car will have very limited track time. It'll be mostly for terrorizing the kids in their Civics on weekends. I swapped in a new 3.06 Getrag and the car came with the four bolt driveshaft. My concern is how well the stock Nag 1 will hold up. Will a Tranzformer and/or trans tune be enough to get shifts/line pressure up to where slippage/wear shouldn't be a problem? Or, do I need the blue top, (Benz), solenoids/valve body/shift kit to help it stand up to the power? Or, should I just drive it like Ken Block and rebuild it HD when it ends up laying on the street in a puddle of fluid? It presently shows no problems and the fluid is clean/fresh. About 60K on it. TIA
Yes get a good Dyno-Tuner that can enhance the trans. They done need much. If you were a 2011-2014 I would send you a copy on my HPTuners if you had the capability to flash it and get it to a dyno.
You will most likely have a touch over 400 at the wheels on a Mustang Dyno, 15% more on a Dyno-Jet. And if you are not seeing 6+ psi with the supplied pulley its the headers and you will need to over spin the blower with a smaller pulley to get there.
If you have not purchased the headers yet I would dyno it 1st with stock manifolds.
Good luck, I enjoy my E-Force. Love the silent screws. I run the stock air box w/K&N and if one is experienced enough to recognize, and close enough to the car @3000 rpm they can hear a slight aggressive torque-ish whine but not from inside another car.
They have really done well with air intake temps, mine recovers very quickly after romping usually running 25-30°F over ambient at full operating temps cruise.
I had SHR built trans for 600hp for about 1 1/2 years with over 600 rwhp, but finally at the track is screwed the bird and took the converter with it. Now have a Paramount built for 1,000 hp in the car. With 400-500 hp you should be good with a stock trans. Maybe a good idea to change the fluid , and a trans cooler would keep it good for the life under 500 hp. That's my experience but maybe others can comment with more knowledge than I have.
good luck the fun starts.
ps if you think you will EVER put a blower on it don't waste money now on blu tops or other stuff, just run it till it drops then put that money into a built trans from Paramount or from BFNY(Chuck).
I've read 14psi on the 2300, more on the 2650.
Check Coanan's signature, I believe he is pushing one pretty hard.
