2006 SRT8 rear cradle swap in 2005 300c

Hello all! I picked up a 2006 SRT8 parts car and I'm planning to put the brakes, springs, and rear diff/axles in my 2005 300c. Would it be quicker/easier to just swap the whole rear cradle vs all the individual parts? How big of a job is this, is it something I can do by myself?

Thank you for any input!!

Anything is possible!
But, if you have the standard 300c wheels, the Brembos will not fit and there’s no reason to change the whole cradle as it’s the same. If you do change the cradle make sure to replace all the bushings while your there.
To swap the diff from 2.82 to 3.06, you will need the rear section of the SRT8 driveshaft and may I suggest upgrading the axles? Upgrade the axles from a Challenger R/T from 2009-2010, it has 32 splines instead of 28 and can withstand more abuse. Will have to replace the rear hubs for that too.
To swap out the components for diff change, it took me around 5 hours.

Goodluck.

And also while your there swap out the 5.7 for the 6.1

Sorry Hungry, the axles you suggest will not work. Those axles you refer to fit all the 2009+ Getrag 226mm differential offerings. Not sure what bushings you're referring to, the four upper cradle bushings are all but indestructible.

For the OP; after dropping your cradle, carefully(!) inspect the upper diff cross member for cracks, especially around all associated welds. If your at OEM power levels its unlikely it has been compromised. Then inspect the replacement for same. Hungry is correct about RT wheel fitment over the Brembos.

There's the axles for open diff (like mine) and or the getrag.
Both have the 32 splines on the wheel hub side.

Thanks for the responses guys! I do have aftermarket 20x10 rims on the car now, so the brakes won't be a problem. I was more just curious if swapping the entire cradle would save me some time and effort vs swapping each individual component. I'll be doing all the work alone, so wanna keep it as simple as possible.

Hemissary, thanks for the tip on checking for cracks! Both cars have only been run on stock power, but I'll definitely check them out!

Hungry, unfortunately the 6.1 didn't come with the SRT8 roller, if it did, it'd already be swapped, lol!
