I'm about to add trailing, upper control and toe arms to the rear of the beast in an effort to keep the flex out on launch. (In about 2.5 months she'll be approaching Demon power levels)
Anyone that has done it, did you use BMR or BWoody bars?
There's about a $200 price point difference and a slight design difference so I figured I'd ask the pros which ones they went with and why.
I run the BWoody bars. It's best to get extra large washers to get the longest life out of the bushings. Replacement bushings are available from BWoody. For anyone else reading this, it's a good idea to grease the bushings or replacements with Lucas Red Tacky or the equivalent.
Hey Punisher have you considered the AAD control arms for your car? I'm running their control arms and tension struts in the rear of my car and they definitely have helped beef up my rear end. I'm running their arms with urethane bushings but you can upgrade them to use bearings if you are willing to constantly regrease them when they start squealing.
Their arms come ready to install out the box unlike the crap Bwoody puts together, as you will have to buy extra hardware to keep your bushing from getting chewed up like another member mentioned here.
I have the BMR's already. I don't mind the $5 in washers, they already have poly bushings and Zerk fittings on one end and spherical rod ends on the other. They are assembled and ready to install. They look pretty good too.
I got a very good deal on them, so for what I saved, I have no issue greasing things up once in a while.
I'll have the upper control arms and upper trailing arms on this week, the toe bars are going to wait until the 9" conversion gets done next month.
Sounds like you got alot of good stuff going into your car this summer good luck on the install!!
