    when you say 10k just on the motor, you mean there's more money elsewhere for the rest of it? If you do the work yourself and make some judicious used purchases you could definitely put a blower on it for 10k and drop in pistons.

    That's way too many miles to install "drop in" pistons. I doubt either HHP or MMX would sell them to you if they knew that was the intent. They'd definitely be talking to persuade otherwise...

    OP, did you ever decide on which way to go? I'm thinking about doing something similar. I may get a srt8 magnum with high mileage (160k) and trying to figure out a price if the motor goes. I see on HHP the cam/heads for around 5k will get me 100 hp but with the high mileage I'm looking for other options too. How much to get the 6.1 turned into a 426 stroker? Whats a low mile 6.4 going for? And does it make sense to find one add the cam/heads and drop it in?
