First thing's first. We already have the 6.1L hemi under the hood so out of the box the power is there. I had to give it some style to make it my own before I started working on adding more power.

15% tint all the way around (metered at 13%):

Not sure why there is a charger (I think it's from a charger) 6.1L HEMI emblem... Previous owner? Dumb ass dealer? Eh whatever. It disappeared.

Then came a a custom box and a 12" Solo Baric powered by a Kicker 1200.1:

And of course had to do some sound proofing:

To start I popped off the lid cover and bought 4 cans of expanding spray foam insulation. The beautiful thing about this stuff is not only will it expand into all the areas but it doesn't add much weight.

Starting at the bottom of the deck lid I sprayed until the can was gone or the insulation started coming out of the holes. Then I would move to a different hole.

Then it was time for a cheap egay grille to keep me satisfied until I could find a grille that I really want:

Then came custom SRT8 emblems courtesy of Nate at Rebadge: (Welcome To ReBadge Design! Your source for custom vehicle badges and more!)

While I was putting the new emblems on I shaved the stock SRT8 badge off the deck lid:

I got bored with the cheapo egay grille fast do I decided to do some painting:

4 Coats of Brilliant Black followed by 2 coats of clear and baked in between coats with a heat gun set to low.

Much better than the stock version and it will keep me satisfied for a little longer while I find the grille of my dreams.

Tonight I took my taillights off and sprayed them with one coat of NightShades.

I don't want them to be black but I wanted to darken them up a bit. Pics don't really do it justice.

I'm cleaning out the garage this weekend and moving my '36 Plymouth street rod to storage so I can focus all my attention to my 300 over the winter.

    Winter plans include:

    Check all fluids.
Change oil with Royal Purple Full Synthetic.
    Change Trans Fluid.
    Cam and Heads upgrade.
Piece together custom intake. Something similar to the LMI Frankintake.
All new pads and cross drilled slotted rotors.
    Custom Toona Predator tune.
Navigation upgrade. (anyone want to buy my oem Navi? Pm me)
Exhaust - Borla or custom piece with Porter Mufflers, haven't decided yet.
    L.E.D. interior upgrade.
Bob's custom button interior L.E.D. color change.
    H.I.D. fog light upgrade.
Add a whole bunch of cool BT toys under the hood!
    Halo headlights
    Angry eyelids
    New tires! And possibly wheels...

This is gonna be an expensive winter... Hope I can make it through it without a divorce.

I also did the license plate LED mod with some ultra white LED's I found laying around in the garage.

Again pics don't really do it justice but you all know what they look like...

Also... those won't be my plates much longer...

Upgraded my fogs tonight to 6000k HID's.

Here's a comparison shot. Guess which is stock...

Now it's time to upgrade from the factory 4300K headlights to 6000k headlights to match.

You've done so much stuff in such a short amount of time. Mad props man! I want to check off a lot of these smaller projects, I've been ignoring the minor details that really tie things together.

I saw you put foam in the trunk lid, did it warp your trunk lid at all? I bought two cans of low expansion "Great Stuff" spray foam and was about to do this, then I read a bunch of posts on forums saying that it warped their body panels, or trunk lids, etc and I got really nervous.

Did it make a big difference in rattling? Keep up the good work! GO FNLX!!!! :D

    Thanks. I'm really impatient.

Yes it definitely helped me but I've seen your set up and I doubt this would do much for you. Hell my trunk still rattles and I only have half of what you have. Have you done Dynamat or anything for yours?

I did get a tiny bit of a warp in the bottom of my deck lid (center close to the back glass) from the foam because I couldn't get in there with a stick and stir it up like the rest of the trunk. However, I knew that was going to happen so I didn't get too worked up about it. My advice is to spray a little at a time and get a stick in there the move it around so what you sprayed doesn't sit in one spot and that it expands out and not just up. Don't buy the silicon expanding crap... that stuff is worthless.

Again I'm not too worried about the deck lid. I'm hoping to put her on a diet next year and that will be one of the things to go anyways.

I FatMatted my whole trunk except for the trunk lid because I was waiting to foam it. I don't get a whole lot lot of rattling except from the trunk lid. And the rear decklid (where the rear speakers are mounted) flaps around when my seats aren't folded down. But I am planning to fix that by cutting ports (holes) in it to let air pass thru.

I also thought about putting a rubber trim around the edge of the trunk lid carpeted cover piece because I know that rattles a lot too.
