After lusting after the Magnum on and off for three years and nearly buying one twice before on the 13th of January 2009 I picked up my 2005 Magnum RT.

    HID MOD:
I purchased a 9006 Low beam kit and Fog Kit both 6000K from HIDGate (Ebay Seller)

    Lows Beams:

    Installed: January 31st 2009

    Process:
    Removed the air box assembly
Removed the 6 trim screws on the fascia.
    Removed the headlights
Mounted the ballasts to the vertical support in the headlight area.
    Reversed removal process

Tip For a stock Hemi take the 2mins to remove the air filter box that will allow you to get your hand under the headlight to prevent the bolt dropping down into the bumper. You can also start threading it in a turn or two for the reinstall. This works on both sides.

    Time involved.
    40mins.

    Level of complication
2-5 ( hardly more complicated than swapping an air filter.)

    Results:
I'm happy they don't project as far ahead of the car as I had hoped but I'm going to play with the aiming this week. Overall for the cost I can't complain.

    Pictures: Soon to be posted.

    Fog Lights:

    Installed: Feb 6th 2009

    Process:
Follow the process listed above to remove the headlights.

    Passenger side:
I removed the bolt from the windshield washer bottle and used that to secure my bracket.
Replace the bolt and secure the ballast bracket.
    Connect the wires.
    Install the bulb

    Drivers side:
Apply one piece of the double sided tape to the ballast.
Secure the ballast to the underside of the support beam below the headlight
Use two zip ties to further secure the ballast to the support.
    Connect the wires
    Install the bulb

Turn on the lights and enjoy your work.

    Time: 10mins per side.

    Level of complication: 2-5

    Pictures:

Here is what I was surrounded by while I was playing.

I was worried that the fogs were going to be too bright but after driving to Buffalo and back after the install not one person flashed me so I'm not worried now. For the money I spent I really happy with the results I think the 6000K looks badass against the bright silver!!

HIDGATE 6000K Low and Fog 10 Month Update.

After 30,000KM of driving with the HID's lows and fogs on all the time I have had my first problem. I was removing my AFE Stage 2 intake and putting the factory box back on for the winter when I disturbed my anti-flicker harness dislodging the lights side power wire from the circuit board. I figured it was an easy fix just re-solder in the wire and reinstall it but in the interest of customer service I emailed HIDGate to see what they would say.

The answer to my email came less than 24 hours later $10 for two new harnesses free shipping and a very sincere apology for the trouble it may have caused me.

So my temporary fixed board is back in with the lights working fine and I have two new harnesses on the way. I'm so unbelievably happy with my kits. For such a low priced item the level of support and service has been simply amazing!
