That big red race valve howling is a huge give away.

I'd have to care if they spoke to me to begin with lol

I'll see if I can't make some on video today after I get the cooler installed and back together.

Ok. So after much thought and negotiation, the B&M cooler will be here via Amazon tomorrow (Summit didn't have it in stock) and that will be going in instead of the Mishimoto tube and fin cooler I bought originally. It's a tad smaller, so I'll have a little more wiggle room and it should work better.

Tomorrow, while waiting on Amazon, I'll spend a little time on some details... A little more clearance around the I/C piping as it goes under the upper radiator support. I'll pull the front markers out (while the bumper is off) and redo them properly. I'll also wire up the fan relay for the cooler and have the power ready.

Then Monday, I'll install and plumb the cooler in, out the nose back on and *maybe* go make a few "Whooosh" videos for y'all.

Well, I got the cooler mounted yesterday (not plumbed in or wired up) and today I moved it.

After looking at it, the airflow would have gone across it, but not THROUGH it, today I remedied that.

FYI, the lines to my '17 Scat Pack was 5/16" not 3/8". Not a huge setback, the adapters are on the way.

The hardest part is fishing the stock line out enough to cut/ flare the ends. Now I only have to straighten one side so I can flare it, plumb it and wire it.

Annnnnd it's going to rain for 2 days. Looks like I'll be taking a break lol

Ok, I have the cooler installed, let it idle until the trans temp hit 195, surely the new cooler fan would have kicked in...how about nope. The lines never even got warm.

My next guess is the bypass block is clogged/ inoperable. It's a $23 part and if that's it, I'm going to kick my own ass. I'm trying to get the FSM to load up on my slow old computer to see how I can trouble shoot it.

Oh well, at least I have a new cooler installed and wired up.

195 at idle!?! my goodness. Have you dropped the pan yet? Where is the temp being measured at? Is the fan sending unit in the same location?

The temp the gauge reads is at the valve body (as I understand it). The sending unit for the fan is built into the cooler, but no hot fluid even got to the cooler. I also have a high stall so I'll have hotter fluid temps, but that's not my concern right now lol

I'm going to pull the lines and bypass valve tomorrow. I have a couple of theories as to why no fluid is flowing to the front end, but I'll have to test them out tomorrow.

My biggest concern is that the bypass valve is a check valve as well (idk) and the lines got reversed at some point during the build. Again, tomorrow it's going to be solved one way or another.

It's the stock Mopar ZF 8-9 speed fluid. It hit 255+ on my way home from VA with it and isn't even a hint burned.
