just a quick rant.

Members shouldn't take other members hard earned $ if they're not prepared or "too busy" to sent the f'ing parts! Don't send a pm (two weeks after the transaction)about how you're swamped at work or whatever the hell's going on yet somehow find the time to be online here almost every day:duh:. If you're selling something it's your RESPONSIBILITY to make time to send the parts out. If you're a person that works the same time the post office or shipping company is open and can't step away to fulfill your obligation, DON'T SELL STUFF! it's as simple as that. LXFORUMS is supposed to be a place where you can buy and sell with confidence, especially from long time members. Not sure what to do at this point except hope that the person will eventually come through but my confidence is fading fast. :blam: Sorry for the rant about something so obvious but I had to get it off my chest. Thanks

Totally agree. When I sell something, I try to ship immediately, sometimes same day, or sometimes taking my lunch break to go to the post office.
It bugs me as well when people take your cash immediately and then ship, only when convenient.

What is iTrader rating for the person you are dealing with?

"Im so sorry man, Ive been absolutely swamped with work, we keep getting pounded with snow out here and I'm out for like 50 hrs at a time. I'll make sure i get it shipped out on monday and i'll have a tracking number then." This was sent on Saturday the 8th. Sounds a lot like an earlier pm:
"Just confirming i received the payment. I'll be shipping it out tomorrow, i'll have a tracking number for you then."

Have you asked him to forget the deal and credit your account? He doesn't have to go anywhere to do that.

I've been guilty of lagging on shipping when my car went down last year. Sometimes life happens and there are certain parts of the US that's getting pounded by really bad weather that's holding up some of my transactions as well (not from Lxf).

Whenever I cannot ship right away, I just make sure and keep in constant contact and give them my cell number so that I'm accessible. Items that usually give me issues are larger items such as brakes, timing covers etc. However, what has helped me tremendously are the overnight shipping kiosks at USPS for the smaller stuff.

Lot of money to me!..LOL.......There is no excuse to not ship within a couple of days unless the seller advises the buyer to begin with or something unforeseen happens.....But not answering PMs when you sign on to the forum is just sorry as heck and a complete lack of respect for the buyer....

I hear you Rickdogg. It's not the fact that the weather is bad or he's caught up with personal issues. I realize this is just a hobby and family etc comes first. But if buddy has the time to come online to lxf, then he has time to reply to pm's and give me an update. This has been mentioned many times in the short time I've been with this forum: communication is key!

Lol that's true. Nothing worse than someone dodging a pm. All it takes is a reply a lot of times. People are much more compassionate than we give them credit for. It's all about being upfront, honest, and keeping an open line if communication (BS aside of course lol).

Hopefully he pulls through for you.

Sorry if you mentioned this but did you use PayPal? If so you should be protected, just start a complaint thru PayPal to get the ball rolling.

That makes it difficult. Hopefully this person comes thru and sends your stuff.

For future purchases request an actual PayPal invoice so your protected.

I in the past have had people ask for the money to be sent as a gift even when I was paying full asking price. When I say I will not do that the deal has been canceled by the seller because they do not want to pay the fee. In some cases I have stepped up and paid the fee so I do have the protection of a Paypal transaction. One thing I would hope sellers will do is factor in Paypal fees to their transactions and then everyone is protected to a degree.

Just my two cents worth on this.

When I was making much better money, I used to always absorb the Paypal costs as a cost of doing business. However, these days I give the buyer the option of if they want to add the 3% or gift. It just adds up over time and I'm not "ballin" like that lol

I just recentlysold one of my items I had for sale. The buyer sent $ through PayPal, and when Iwent to transfer the funds, there was a fee, a small fee. I wasn't to botheredby it as both parties will be protected if need be. Once I got the $ I toldbuyer I was going to go out for my lunch and send, which I did, but then theshipping carrier wanted too much due to the box I used (large) so I PM thebuyer, " hey look I went to ship but I need to cut down the box or use asmaller one" and he was fine with that. I think if communication is there, then both parties will have a smoothtransaction. I am a very busy Man, running a drive through Bank office, Twokids one on the way, recently Married and work 8-6 Mon-Fri. I still found timeto go out and ship the item I was selling. There should really be NO excuserather than emergencies that you cannot go to a shipping store(there are plentyaround everywhere I assume) and ship the item(s) you sold, ESPECIALLY if youalready collected the Money.
