I bought a used 79 Fastback with the screaming 140hp 5.0 and the manual 3speed with 4th overdrive! It had about 30k miles on it. I didn't like the clutch because when it started engaging, it would complete the engagement with only a tiny pedal movement which made it unenjoyable to drive around town. It had a premature rear brake lockup issue that required replacing the proportioning valve with the 1980 part. I sold it after about 6 months. The purchaser wanted to sell it 4 years later with about 44k miles on it and I bought it back. Again I got tired of the clutch and sold it for the second time.

I had a 1986 notch back, it was. 5.0 but whoever owned it before me removed the badges. Here is a pic. Don’t mind the fat guy, this was back in 1990.
