Posted these over on the Hellcat forums but any feedback is appreciated. I bought a GoPro FUSION at a smoking deal today at Best Buy. Was doing some testing and have two videos that I think are pretty cool. One little rip around the neighborhood and another at night testing low light. Thorougly impressed and at 4k on my tv this looks gorgeous.
Test 1: Quick little trip around the block.
Test 2: At night, just cruising around.
If anyone has any experience with camera placement please give me ideas Was thinking on the hood or maybe roof
Youtube will degrade quality if it is not 4k. I suggest selecting 4k but viewing it in the small window. On the TV it looks gorgeous. I may also be a derp and not know how to create good 360 videos yet.
Gave her a little bit of the beans here, warning it's a 360 video and the browser does dumb things with 360 video, tv or youtube app is best.
The next task of the day was learning how to use Davinci's Resolve which is studio level editing software. After exporting I learned how to use reframe360 plugin. Added some YT music cause of the wind noise and voilla!
Goals this week, figure out a roof mount to get really good 360 video, also to get better with Davinci, this software is top notch. Gives my GPU a run for it's money with 4k content. Always up for ideas, let me know what perspectives you would like to see in 3D. Another thing is find more GoPro batteries, the GoPro fusion eats through them.
Purchase a (very) secure suction CAM mount (wet the suction face with light oil), then mount on the rear quarter looking forward - with both wheels in the frame. Looking backwards can be a interesting as looking forward. Rear seat area or right / upper windshield area with driver in-frame can also be interesting - especially on a road course at ten-tenths.
The 360 stuff was kind of crazy to watch. I could do without that view personally.
I did like the rear shot you did with the resolve software....good work.
