No power goals in mind, stock bottom end. Talked to Greg at HHP for a quote on billet 400 pump, procharger d1, 80 pound injectors. I'm awaiting his response about a few questions but thought I'd get on here and hopefully create a worthy conversation that could enlighten me on a few things.
1) with 80pound and a 400 that enough for E85 if I want to get a tune on it?
2) anyone else wanna chime in on their procharger pros cons?

I'm not considering other kits so don't need any fanboys trying to steer me. Thanks fellas

Im running a D1 on a 5.7 2006 block, drop in forged pistons only. When it comes to fueling, talk to your tuner. He would know better than I. I forget how big my injector are. Im running 10 lbs. of boost -580 at rear wheels. I would think 8 psi on a stock bottom end would be safe with GOOD tune. Mine has been completely reliable. Easy kit to install. Would do it over again. AEM 1000 pump. No boost a pump.

Well as of right now I'm my own tuner since the last one wasn't worth a ****. Moving on... I'd be honestly happy with 6psi and want to stay as safe as possible so I can plan a forged bottom end down the road with more boost. Are you on E85?

Is that 400 walbro pump? If so its not E85 compatible. You want to look for either a 274 or 267 for E85. One of those would be enough for E85 at that boost. What I was using on my whipple with 1000cc injectors. The 80#s may not be enough but not 100% sure on that

Yes, and it didn't help. Evidently the trans temp sender in the valve body was malfunctioning and reading about 50F too high.

I was told that even after repeated 240F+ temps the clutches and steels still looked brand new and the fluid might as well have just come out of the jug.

That would explain why it never shifted funny or acted up other than the temps.

A new valve body has been installed and the trans is back in the car. He drove it around Thursday and Friday and it never went over 150F. I'll know for sure Monday after he dyno's it if it's ready or not.
