LETS BE CLEAR. I am talking to you. All of you.

We - the Staffers and members of higher standing of the LX Forums reserve the right to refuse service, to anyone, who does not play by The Rules!
Have you read them? Have you read them lately?? :rulez:

Sorry, am I coming off too arrogant? Maybe. However you clicked "yes" or "agree to" The Rules on creating your profile.
After seeing some of the recent post in various For Sale threads it's clear that a reminder of the the rules and spirit of the Forums is needed:

"These forums are here for anyone to post on. We do not limit registration to anyone nor do you need to own a Chrysler/Dodge LX/LY/LC vehicle to join. We hope you find this website and its forum an informational and enjoyable place to visit.

Our forum is considered to be a "self policed" forum. That is to say, our staff is instructed to only moderate when required and react to issues, rather than seek them out. In exchange for this light handed approach, we need to trust our members to govern themselves, and use the "Report Post" feature when they find something that violates our rules or general "family friendly" environment. These rules are to be seen as general governing principals and you need to understand that the specific language is unimportant. Alan Greenspan put it best when he said "Rules cannot take the place of character."

Avoid personal attacks and be respectful of our members
. If you don't agree with what someone posted, debate their post... not the person that posted it."

If you agree with what I've posted here, that is one of the reasons why you actually are a member here; because you want to be.
These are your Forums, your Modern Mopar community home. Take care of this place as your own by welcoming the newbies and advising them of how we work together...not accuse them of being off their meds, even if it's clear they are.
Why? Cause we're better than that. Our forums are better than that.

Is there a fee to sell items on the forum? I have sold items on my motorcycle forum and there wasn't a charge. But I saw when I went to post a item on here there was a fee. Is that just for people paying through the forum? Sorry I am just not sure if there is or isn't a charge. I prefer sell cash and in person. Any help is appreciated.

The forum does offer a buy it now option that the seller sets up when he lists it. The forum does get a cut. Or you can contact him and negotiate a price. PayPal is preferred as payment in most transactions but never gift any money. If they ask you the gift it run. Some will want you to pay the pp fee. That’s ok cause 3.5% adds up on large $$ deals. Cash is ok if in person.
Then there’s my friendship fee. every time you buy something you send me $5.00. It’s how I can buy stuff for my car. For some reason nobody has sent me money yet. I don’t know why. Maybe they don’t want to be my friend
I dont know.
I hope this helps!!!

Just to make sure I'm understanding the pricing structure, if you sell an item through the forum, the Market Place fee is 6.9% and goes to the forum. Then there is a Payment Processing fee of 2.9% +$0.30 that goes to Paypal. So for example, If I sold a car for $30k, my take home after fees would be ~$27k. Is that correct?
