The Southern Ontario Shipping Thread

I've thought about this several times and always forget to act on it.

With shipping being so expensive, it often makes or breaks a deal. As I regularly travel between Whitby, Toronto and Hamilton, I've helped a few guys out a number of times already and thought I'd put out the standing offer.

Perhaps we could use this thread to post up others' interest in acting as mules and to post up requests for transport.

If you are willing to act as a mule post up something like this;

Route - Whitby, Toronto, Hamilton (or anywhere in between)
Frequency - Weekly or more frequently
Contact - Post, PM or email imjason.bobsmyuncle AT gmail.com

If you need a package moved, you can contact someone directly and/or post up. Everyone interested in shipping will get the notice through there subscription, so even if it the request doesn't match their regular routine, they will see it and may still be able to assist.

If it catches on perhaps it can be made a sticky, any interest?

Anyone travelling from Montreal - Toronto - Windsor on March 17th and from Windsor - Toronto - Montreal March 23rd or 24th?? If you're just travelling from either of those routes and willing to pickup a precious package, let me know. Thanks. Diane

On the 17th I can cover the Toronto to Hamilton portion if that ends up being of any use and possibly the return trip (Hamilton to Toronto on 23/24).

There is a surcharge on bodies and body parts including internal organs.

I'm guessing they are organs - one entire daughter's worth in the original container. She probably is well under your weight limit. :)

Well I was able to book a flight for my daughter. The problem was she has a tiny 1 lb. puppy with her. The bus doesn't allow animals even in their carriers. The train will put your animal in the baggage compartment and it gets complicated when you have to transfer, the carrier could get misplaced or arrive later. The puppy would be in its carrier for 11 hours without anywhere to go do its business. Even if you put water down the puppy will surely spill it. The plane will permit you to bring a small cat or dog in a carrier that you can put under the seat at extra costs. So it cost me more that I would've liked but she is coming home to visit and I miss her. All is well. Thanks. Diane
