Here we go folks! I had a lot of people reach out offering to assist with next year's event and am very appreciative. A team has been assembled to start contacting this year's event supporters requesting their support for next year's event. Our goal next year is to raise $5k on the day of the event! I think it can be done. If you are on Facebook and haven't liked the GTALx - The Event page, do it to be kept updated as we announce event updates. Events will be posted here in this thread as well for those that don't have a FB account. That's all for now. Have a great day!

Hello everyone! Happy new year! Just a quick update on the June 6 event. More than half the vendors have committed to supporting the event again including
Billet Technology, Solo Performance Inc., PJs Auto Spa, Unifor 1285, Authentic Performance, Legmaker Intakes, LLC, Hemituner Performance, Kaption Car & Home Audio, High Tech Tint Plus, Vinyl Wrap Toronto, Nextmod, Lockdown Security Canada, ReBadge Design & Graphics, LLC, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and many others! This year, our goal is to raise $5K or more for the fine folks at Peel Children's Aid Foundation and I think, with oor event supporters donating raffle prizes, and those who attend the event, we'll get there! That's all for now. Have a great day!

Greetings everyone. These are indeed strange days due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The province of Ontario is under a state of emergency (public community places such as pools, libraries, community centres ordered closed) along with restaurants and other places where people can gather. Nationally, restrictions are in place or will be in place to limit travel via air, and on the ground at the US/Canada border. We, who are planning the June 6 event, want you to know that as of right now, the June 6 GTALx event is still a go but that may change in the future depending on how things progress. I'll be honest. If I were to hazard a guess, my guess would be that the event will be postponed until later in the summer but as of now, the event is still a go. Until the next announcement, please be safe, be courteous to others in these trying times, and please don't hoard supplies that others who are vulnerable may require.
We will get through this but we'll have to do it together and with patience, kindness and some common sense.
Bryan.

Greetings everyone. We trust you are all safe and are well in these unprecedented times. It is with a measure of sadness that we announce that our event at
Heart Lake Conservation Area
, has been cancelled along with others. While it is sad the event in June has been cancelled, and instead of cancelling the event altogether for 2020, we will try to hold the event on Saturday, Sept 12, 2020. This is the first available date the park has open. Hopefully, by then, the situation we are all in will be better and relaxed enough that we can experience the joy of being outdoors and together, raising money for a worthwhile cause. September should still be warm! Until the next announcement, the GTALx Events team extends to everyone and their families a wish to be well, stay safe and practice social distancing if/where/when possible. We will get through this together. Until next time...

Greetings everyone, I trust you and your families are all well and safe in these challenging times.
It is with sadness that I am announcing that after consulting with our partners at Peel Children's Aid, we have agreed to cancel the GTALx 2020 Mopar charity/social event.
In my years of organizing the event, I never ever thought we would ever have to cancel an event after we started the planning process each year.
With so much uncertainty surrounding group gatherings, border closings, the financial burden that a lot of our raffle prize supporters have experienced, and because we just don't have enough human resources to manage social distancing and to enforce the wearing of masks as a requirement at the event, we felt that it would be safer for organizers, volunteers, food service providers and attendees if this year's event was cancelled.
I want to thank everyone who has attended and supported our past events. Nobody could have foreseen what has happened and continues to happen and know that next year, the annual GTALx event as we know it will be back bigger and better.
Until then, please be safe, practice social distancing and be vigilant. We have a long ways to go before we beat this virus and we have to do it to together as a community.
We are looking at options to hold a smaller event, perhaps a cruise where people can stay in their vehicles. If we can solidify that idea, an announcement will be made here.
Enjoy your summer. Be well.
Bryan
