I ETSd out of there a few years ago.
Not too much of a decent scene when I left there in '14, only track is the 1/8 mile off Tiny Town, from what I remember there was a decent amount of guys racing brackets there, other than midnight madness which is usually young pvts and bikes. I cant remember too many shops in the immediate area either. There are a few decent ones in Nashville. There is a huge cars and coffee that goes on at one of the malls there, with a good amount of exotics in the area, so anyone there can surely be able to point you somewhere.
Bowling Green isn't too far up the road from there and I think they have a 1/4 mile there.
I went to Midnight Madness a few times when I was there as a young Specialist. I was really hoping that by now they would have turned Clarksville into a 1/4mi track. I guess I'll be using Bowling Green as my home track.
I'll take a Cars and Coffee, Caffeine and Octane, or anything else like that because there has been nothing like that where I'm at now. I like the "go" but my wife is more interested in the "show".
I enjoyed the area. I'm retired now but was stationed there for almost 14 years...Mar 99 until Oct 12 when I retired. same post, same unit, no PCS. There's a big car show and audio competition scene in that part or the country. I competed in sound quality competitions and was able to hit up 20-25 shows a season and that was all around multiple deployments and stateside TDY which I did a lot of. Clarksville has gotten pretty ghetto in some places but I still miss the area for the abundance of car audio related events. I'm out near JBLM now and I'm lucky to get 6-10 shows a year in. I can recommend a top notch stereo shop if you need any work done.
