    Roof Moulding Removal

I have some rust thats grown from under the roof moulding, that I wanna address.

Its the black strips inside the channel of the roof, along both sides of the roof

How do I remove the moulding without damaging it?

Dunno if they are held in with clips or 2 sided tape.

Steady pull, you'll be left with some adhesive in the channel.

The 2 way tape left behind can be a PITA to remove,I pulled both strips off my '06 300c months ago and still haven't taken all the adhesive off lol.

    Thx fellas.

Ima probably use a heat gun to ease them up & get the tape residue off.

I just took mine off yesterday.

Heat gun with a small plactic chisel. Chisel off the adhesive that you can get BEFORE trying Goo-Gone - otherwise it turns in to a gummy mess haha

Drivers side of mine came off a while back in a drive through car wash. There is a metal strip remaining in the roof channel where the rubber strip adhered to. It doesn’t feel like tape, but it’s brittle and feels like it can snap while removing. Anyone know what I can replace it with? I too have rust underneath this that I’d like to get too.
