    Something odd

    05 magnum rt

    Got a p0700

There is a leak that I'm waiting for parts. When fluid is low it doesn't shift. But when I add fluid tranny is normal...could the code be for the leak?

P0700 is a generic error code that just says "hey you got a problem". There should be another code(s) hiding behind it. But you may not be able to read it without the proper scanner. But in a nut shell if you are leaking transmission fluid resulting in a no shift situation then YES that should answer your own question.

Would low fluid trigger that code?

It sounds like low fluid is the cause...but that likely means you have a crack/leak or are running hot and burning through fluid. Both are bad.

Get a code reader and see if there are other codes too.
