Cool KillerGlass over kill? What do you guys think?

I got my KillerGlass this weekend and havent had time to install it in my car but I did take some time and got the LEDs just the way I want them. I know that once I get the coolant in the glass it will change the whole outlook of the light. It might not even be to see through but Ill see how it looks then. There are 9 LEDS on each side that will be wired with the rest of the engine bay so they all light up the same. One LED on each side is the original one that came with the glass and that will be on a seprate switch so only the glass will light up when engine lights are off. So were looking at 10 LEDs on each side. Bright as hell! I'll post pics this weekend when I have it all installed.

    Here is the glass...

Here is the bay so you can have an idea of what it looks like...

What do you guys think? I know lots of LEDs are kinda ricey, but its not like they are on when Im driving. Only for shows or M&Gs.

That's a lot of LEDs The LEDs in your Killerglass, are they on the inside? Are the LEDs liquid proof? I'm about to order myself one of these and I'd love to see how it turns out. Can't wait for the pictures.

I'm gonna guess that they are not on the inside since there's no way to run the wires from out of the hose to a power source..... without leaking fluid everywhere.

I think it is a little over kill. But obviously you are going for a show car, and over kill can be a very good thing when it comes to a show car.

Here's the deal. I'm the best there is. Plain and simple. I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence

I got red coolant, but I still think that Im gonna put food coloring in it. I would like a real deep red color. If all else fails and it doesnt look good with all the colors, I will run the power from all the lights to the red LED, that way when it flashed or strobes it does so red. I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh, the LEDs are outside of the glass facing in. They are waterproof LEDs just in case, but I dont expect any problems.

Where did you get the LEDs from? How did you attach them?

Out of sheer curiosity, does food coloring have any negative effect on the radiator causing build up?

Just coming from the liquid cooling of CPU's, any type of colored fluids usually react with the metals creating all kinds of little nasties in the fluid that leads to build up. Obviously it's on a MUCH smaller scale in computers and may not even apply in the automotive arena. I was just wondering if anyone has ever encountered that....

Sorry if i bogarted your thread too...

I forgot but i tried reading on what the chemical bond for red dye was and found some interesting articles, but long story short. Coolant is 50/50 so and the die is like 1% if that so its on such a minute scale i havent had any issues in well over a year now
