Battery light came on, code 2504 indicated.
Tested system charging with multimeter, 11.4v. Remove and test alternator, nfg replaced alternator and battery. Erase code, short drive code P2504 again.
Hook up scanner (AUTEL MS908) and monitored the following:
Electrical sensing voltage. Remained around 11.4v
Alternator duty cycle. Remained at 20% would jump to 80% momentarily regardless of load applied to system.
Target charging voltage. Never reached target voltage. Voltage only increased
a couple tenths of a volt at any time.
Right now I suspect the PCM isn't reading system voltage (Scanner indicates sensing voltage is visible and matches battery voltage).
I'm not sure where to look now!
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks,
Guy
