First LX cruise of Korea date unknown, we will be taking a nice 3 day cruise with some spirited driving down the west coast stopping at two Air Bases to fill up, if necessary. The end of day one will be arriving at the South West tip of the country and watching the sun go down and also seeing the famous Jindo Island. The next morning we will be headed east along the south coast driving to Busan where everyone should fill up again after filling up we will travel up the east coast until we arrive at Sarak Mountains. Day three we will cruise around Sarak national park then head back to Seoul stopping at Weonju to get fuel. If this sounds like some thing you might be interested in doing please let me know.
If your intrested please drop me a line.

My wife comes from Yeosu, quite spectacular scenery, actually looks like the coast of Maine. The mountains around Sorak are beautiful, especially in the fall, reminded me of New Hampshire. I was stationed near Kimpo, a little army base called Camp Mercer. Korea was a beautiful place to be stationed. Have a safe trip.:thumbs_u:

I was stationed at Kunsan from 97-98....it's fricken' nuts you guys are doing a drive around SoKo

So does the NAV system work over there? Don't forget to make that right before you hit the DMZ  That should be pretty damn interesting to have 3-4 LX's rolling down the road, DCX should be promoting and paying you guys, who knows how many LX's will be imported after you guys roll around the country! Good stuff! :thumbs_u:

This never really happened... Only could get 2-3 guys interested but we did cruize to the DMZ and race south.. Was real fun but a Vett freind of us and a Supercharged Mustang were the champs... But I was the burn out king.

I realize that I was stationed in Korea way back in the 80's but back then we had only leaded gas...

PLUS it was always like a demolition derby at each stop light.... 2 lanes turned into 6 then as the light turned green everybody racing to get back into 2... So by having an MOPAR... you most likely never had a problem being the first off the line..

Also are they still turning off thier headlights at the stop light at night ?

Still a bit of a demolition derby, but they don't turn off their headlights, at least that I've seen.

My wife is from Yeosu on the south central coast, really pretty city, if you do the trip, well worth a side jaunt. Yeosu and Dolsan island, nice. Hope to get back there again.

Wow, a blast from the past. I think There is a ferry boat to Cheju from Yeosu and vice versa. There is a really cool bridge from Yeosu to Dolsan. Yeosu is a beautiful city, the sea shore looks a lot like Maine/California. Lots of good seafood! When you cross over to Dolsan there is a reproduction of one of Admiral Lee's ironclad warships , a museum. My wife's mother's family traces their lineage all the way back to Admiral Lee! Anyway, last time I was there was 1994, but my wife still has family there. Korea is a really beautiful country, too bad that moron with the poofy hair and elevator shoes is so close. What a loose cannon! Hey have a great time, take some pics. Cheju sounds really nice.
