I started this in our section but I thought since Dave made a point of talking about resurrecting the older high mileage LX car I would start it here also.

We have purchased a 210,000 mile 2006 Magnum for doing the VVT swap.

2006 dodge Need to sell ASAP!

I am sure there is a bunch more of tired old RTs with thin or no payment books and no warranty.

I know people keep saying this is no problem but I never see it followed through or offered as a kit you can do yourself or have your local installer do.

I want to address the guy that is going to say why not just stroke your 5.7.

Here is why:

1. If you have a high mile engine the parts that no one figures in the build price are worn out and in need off replacement are lifters, rockers, oil pump, coils, etc. (these are expensive especially the etc.)
2. You are getting a head upgrade to Eagle or Apache that is not a cheap venture with cores, pushrods, and valve covers
3. You are getting a intake manifold upgrade to an Eagle or a 392 with runner actuation.
4. In the case of a 392 you are getting a shorty header with engine
5. In the case of the 392 you are starting with a stock engine that has the output of your built 5.7 stroked, wait till you save the pennies to build that up another 100HP with bolt ons, cam and ported heads
6. You are getting newer more advanced block and head castings
7. No core deposits while your engine is being built
8. No down time Should not amount to no more than just an engine swap when we get done.
9. You have a complete core to sell or turn in for credit
10. easier to sell to wife when something new and shiney arrives in crate
There is no comparison on which is the better value.

The next door this opens up is the low mile 5.7 VVT for $2500.00 and a install kit and you are like new again.

Please let me know if there is interest here. It will take a while to update because we are not getting car back from Bill at Paramount who is doing some TCM testing with it for about 3-4 weeks.

Actually, I'm thinking about telling Dave to jump in the lake.
For 220,000 miles the friggin Magnum is GREAT.
Guy kept it perfect for his wife:) I'll keep it perfect in the trailer on the way to our events.....
Southern car ALL its life:)
A new Paramount SuperPro car?????
Dump the Jeep engine and tranny in this + an 8.8 and woohaa!!!
Just saying.....

I wouldn't blame you a bit Bill, but that Jeep has become your trademark!

if it comes with timing cover and waterpump and ecm that will be about it possibly lower hose. Also spacers for ps pump or a new vvt style pump.
