Custom Silicone Elbow to Hellcat Intake

I have been trying to figure out how to best install the Hellcat top lid intake onto my 392. I came to the conclusion that if a custom silicone elbow could be produced, it would make the installation seamless. I contacted intakehoses.com and they are willing to build the coupler but they have conditions like a 20 piece minimum order and tooling costs. Obviously I can't afford this but if there was a group buy of 20 people, we could get them to make this and we can have plug and play Hellcat top lids for our 392s. As you can see from the picture below, using the "AC" top lid, the IAT sensor fits perfect, just need a custom coupler.

I haven't replied back to them because I'm not sure I could get enough people in the first place.
Too many factors yet before we could determine that.
Plus they said they would need a down payment equal to the value of the entire order and it takes 12 weeks to manufacture.

This was their email:
We can have hoses made in silicone to most specs.
We will need a drawing with dimensions of the hose you need to submit to the factory.

There is a 20 piece minimum purchase , and approx 12 weeks lead time on custom
order hoses. There could be a tooling fee involved we will not know until we submit the
drawing to the factory.

When everything is approved by you, we will also need a down payment
equal to the value of the order.

Also there are no returns on custom made parts.

Let us know if you would like to proceed.

I measured a 3.5'' opening on the throttle body and a 4.5'' opening on the hellcat lid.
Angle is approximately 22 degrees. Somewhere between 22 and 25 degrees.
I wouldn't know how to properly design such a tube. I'm using very imprecise methods.
How do you measure how long a bent tube needs to be?
If you run a tape measure along the front of the proposed tube, it would need to be 4.5'' long
If you run a rape measure along the back of the proposed tube, it would need to be 2.5'' long.

Reducer Elbow

You could probably get this to fit with the right cut. The angle is about half, but with an angled cut on the reducer, it would make up for the difference.

The stock 392 box top will fit the HC lower box and then you don't have to dick around with a silicone reducer, or just cut the tube on the HC upper, use the stock rubber elbow and call it a day.
There is practically no gain in performance between the HC and 392 airbox top.

I went thru this on my Cadillac ATS 2.0 Turbo. But I did a DIY version.
I used 2 silicone reducers/elbows, 1 aluminum elbow and 4 T Clamps

I actually had it flow bench tested. I did flow better than stock and was really close to a $300 setup. I had $75 in it.
Could I tell the difference.. No My calibrate butt dyno didn't register any change.

Bottom-line - Like PaulMC says... Just used the Scat Pack lid on the HC base.
