Curious
Has anyone or does anyone know if the stock fuel system aka lines and return line ( I have aftermarket pump but not sure if e85 is ok ) would hold up to mixing e85 and say 91-93 octane fuel ?
I would like to mess with this but not sure if the lines and other bits will take it or not
Mine is a 16’ , but I don’t think they’d change anything if wasn’t intended for flex. I wonder what was changed on my wife’s Durango. It’s a 15’ flex fuel v6.
For flex fuel you need compatible lines but also the capability to flow more fuel due to the lower heat content per gallon for ethanol.
So larger injectors and larger pump. Possibly the same fuel pressure.
I would go out on the limb and say all “newer” vehicles components are e85 safe. Probably could get away with stock injectors and pump, depending on the hp you are pushing.
2013 challenger rt 1050 injectors boost a pump E85. No problems.
