No longer produced, but still dear in our hearts and always missed, the Dodge Magnum was (and still is) the ultimate full size muscle wagon.

So now that we know what the Next Gen Charger and 300 look like. What would a Next Gen Magnum look like?

Photoshoppers, get your virtual brushes out and post what you think a theoretical next gen Magnum would look like. After a certain amount of time, we'll have a poll on who's version looks the best and post it on the homepage for the world to see.

Good luck!

I love my Maggie, but what they did to the 300c scurrs me on what they will do to the maggie... but they did do us good with the charger, so there is some hope... We'll see.

Awesome idea indeed! This could be very cool indeed.

The nose on ^ that one is a tad too Challenger-ish I think, but change the center a bit to reflect the original '05 nose in miniature maybe?

I think someone should modify their magnum to look like what they think a new magnum would look like, and see how many people they have ask if it's a 2011 ;)

The Magnum's styling and all around character built in to the car is absolutely timeless....timeless! IF it was to be made again...they can not change overall design of the roof line and ass end of the car. It has been shown by many in real life and pictures that you can take any front clip...300, Charger and Challenger(from image above) and the car will still be the coolest looking wagon no matter what happens to the front.

I agree; what makes that rendition of the Avenger interesting is shifting the wheels to the rear (more front overhang, less rear, less rear quarter window). There appears to be more windshield rake, but actually there's not. Changes the magnum look in a good way.

I have pondered the overall shape of the Magnum for a long time, I can't come up with any sectioning/lowering/shaving/stretching/smoothing/etc that would dramatically increase emotion to what's already been hammered out.

None-the-less...I'm curious what DCX had in their files as to other possible shapes that might have been in the running at the time.

There a few more mods I'll do on mine to make it more homogeneous; an aluminum section will be added to the lower liftgate where it notch's into the bumper cover (to smooth it), I might change the mirrors again, install the (flush) Charger door handles...then it's pretty well done for me exterior-wise.

Very difficult to improve on such a unique shape to begin with...

I agree! Widebody or at least those fenders. Seriously all it needs, and the first car I'd hands-down buy without any further consideration.

I disagree; out of all the possible partners, FIAT will make for some interesting a noteworthy alliances and resulting designs. Are you aware what else FIAT owns?

Better have a looksie-poo

Not me either, but I remember these:

And I could see something like this (eventhough its an import concept):

I took the "Avenger" style concept and made a few alterations. I pushed the front wheels forward, pulled the nose in... making it a rear wheel drive, then extended the rear end a bit to balance the "visuals" and provide some extra space behind the back seat.

Messed around a bit with the 2008 SRT...transferred a few items from the 2011 Charger Redline. Let me know what you guys think and want different.
