    In my oil catch can

This is how much oil was in my Billet Technology catch can collected over 3,000 miles. I did hit the track about five times this fall on this particular batch of oil.

And in case you missed it - or just want to watch again, here's a huge burnout

Another 3,400 miles, another ~70ml in my BT catch can. This batch of oil was 0W-40 and I went drag racing about five times. I filled up with 5W40 turbo diesel Mobil 1 this time. We'll see how that does.

Thanks for the info and the update. I might be taking mine off; 4,000 miles and there is just a slight film in it. Others fill it up all the time. I would say yours is about average from what I have seen.

Actually it's not just oil, but combustion blow-by and other funky stuff.
Don't pour it back into your crankcase as some have asked. It is just liquid dirt.

If yours is not getting any oil in it after 4,000 miles, be sure to check your hoses to make sure that they are not collapsing under vacuum.

I empty mine when I do an oil change (every 4 months), I get a few tablespoons of oil.

I have been collecting my catchcan oil since around Nov 2007, or about 8,500 miles. So far 1/2 a cup.

Catch can is located between PCV valve and intake manifold.
First pic is stock setup without catch can.
Second pic is Billet Tech catch can.
