Track record daily driver Magnum ?

Yesterday I manage to pull 2 run in the 9 seconds with my daily driver Magnum Srt8
    ,
I was chasing 9 for years and finally got it yesterday !

My car is full weight + air Suspension + kid seat !

    Ran 9.98 at 138mph 2 times in a row,
I know there is very fast Lx but there should not be a lot in the 9
At full weight and less magnum for sure.

Was very happy to achieve this time modding my car all by myself over many years and still kept it daily driver

Nice run? Gives me a mark to shoot for in my beast.

Curiously, did they (track officials) say anything about caging it yet?

Track official are not messing too much for the cage since car have all the airbag functioning, at least here in Montreal,
but I wear my SFI helmet and fire suit.

I race official races in semi-pro without problem but dail it at 10.5 but they never ask me for a cage, just Helmet.

I am concern to put a cage in since I use the back seat for my 5 year old daughter, but A custom cage is in my plan.
I saw one once that follow the roof on of the magnum all the way to the rear strut mount and does not sacrifice the rear seat, I may go this way next winter.

I really feel like I'll be in the 9's this season (as soon as I learn to launch it). I just ordered all my SFI gear, but I drive this car more than I probably should and do NOT want to cage it.

Mine will run 8s all day long. Oh, you didn't mean 60ft? Never mind.

Fastest daily car I've driven was just outside of 10s. At these levels it starts to get difficult to daily. At least for a non-millionaire with self control issues...

Kidding aside, congratulations on a well done vehicle that fast and you can still daily.

lets say, my wife does not drive it anymore !
I am the only one that drive this car, I let 1 time the alignment guy at the garage drove it and he nearly Hit the curb after a 180 degrés right in front of me the first time he touch the gaz pedal !
I know my car and it’s limit but it is no ordinary daily driver !
I know how to stay out of boost in the street to keep it safe.

Yep. I never got over being a little afraid of that car. I never lost it like an accidental 180, but the back end came out a little very often. You got to tell them not to *move* the pedal, just a little light pressure. If you are looking for movement you'll get an accidental 180.

Amazing run! I look forward to seeing it in person next month at Napierville; when the border opens.
