Top brass at FCA couldn't understand the concept of cars lasting that long, wondering, what the hell were those people thinking? A 300K mile plate holder? Even 200K? Un-possible!
Dang it! I'm just 500 miles shy of 300k and was getting ready to send off an email about the bracket. I have the 100 and 200. Maybe if enough people badger them about it, they'll reconsider. I wonder how hard it would be to recast an existing 100/200 bracket with another number.
I fired off an email requesting a 300k bracket for giggles, pretty much same response as above. I figured since I had the 100k and 200k ones, that just maybe, I could get the 300k. In my mind, I assumed they had stock of these somewhere, surely they aren't made to order(?). I'm also trying to imagine that conversation where the FCA heads are talking about reducing expenditures and someone saying, "hey, that high mileage loyalty program we have is a money hole, let's dump it". Crazy!
FWIW, If found two on Ebay. Both listed as "vintage", one that is identical to the frames that I already had (except 300k), and one with the Chrysler wing instead of being flanked by the Dodge boxes. I ended up getting the Chrysler wing one.
Maybe when you hit 310,000 miles (well, around 310,685 to be specific) you could affix a Mercedes 500,000 kilometer badge to your grille? I'm only half-joking.. probably find some in a boneyard search?

Well, since about half of the car was made by MB maybe that would work!
