I started the day with some tire abuse on the way to work  :racing:

Followed that up with a wash, wax and a full detail. Emptied the catch can.

Your turn, What did you do.....?

Where did you get the idea for the nanny button by the way? I haven't seen this before, it's possible I've missed some threads since the switch to Tapatalk...

Well you inspired me to finally install my Zautomotive noesp module I've had it sitting in my tool box for 2 years & I had completely forgotten about it until your post !!!!

I'm glad it helped to inspire you! I was looking at the noesp module, but had a hard time shelling out 50 clams for it as I'm a cheapskate as well as being broke, lol. My total cost into the Anti-Nanny button is $15 ;-)

I got the idea from RTJunkie's post in the charger forums: RTjunkie's version of the ESP Mod! Writeup! - Dodge Charger Forums and the button and pigtail from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I9KDVWQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Fair warning, the LED ring is BRIGHT! I'm thinking of adding a small resistor to the wire to dim it down a smidge. The green one matches the OEM color fairly well though and they have other colors available.

What did you do to install that ? I have to splice in 6 wires for the module

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To install the button I had to remove the center console, cut one wire, then connect the momentary button to each end of the cut wire. In my particular case I also had to unbolt one nut from the sensor module and secure the ground wire of the LED on the button in order to get the LED to work. I just tied the positive lead of the LED to the power wire of the sensor module asking with the momentary button lead.

In the Amazon link they show how you can tie the leads together on the pigtail to have the LED on all the time or only when pushing the button. Since I'm only disrupting the power feed to the sensor module, I used the ground post of the module for the ground lead of the LED on the button. Hope that makes sense. I suppose I could draw up a diagram of what I did if anyone wants.

Not today, I'm just getting around to posting, but last Friday I finally pulled the trigger on some new rubber. I was debating different options, but my local Firestone guy cut me a hell of a deal so I went with the Firehawk Indy 500s. I only have a few dozen miles on them and pretty much all with the troops on board so I can't give too much feedback, but thus far they are quiet, comfortable, and more stable than my previous Continentals or Hankooks.

I apparently can't take tire pictures to save my life.

Tried to get Johan some late night data logging runs. Was reasonably happy with them. Came home, plugged intune into laptop, and no logs were there. C'mon lol...

Replaced all the bulbs in my climate control. This **** is a pain in the ass lol. Glad I had a second unit to practice on because I destroyed that one lol.

No more trying to remember the positions in the dark lol. Had it completely blacked out for about a year.

Started stripping the powdercoat off my 20" welds , thinking of going straight polish but open to suggestions . Picked a nice set of 275/40/20 proxes t1sports to put on them. I also acquired a nice set of matching 17's.

Hey! Here's this page.....! Was looking for a "What did you do to your LX today?" page! :)

So, I didn't do anything today since it's not quite 7am but this past week I've put "New" wheels on, with new tires. Also, new front brakes, including new calipers, since apparently the originals cannot be compressed without sticking afterwards... Plus swapped hub/bearing assemblies on the front and new pads and rotors for the rear.

Plus in the middle of all the brake work I've found replacing the front tension struts/lower arms, makes your old Charger drive like new! :)

Your pistons stick after compressing them? What did you use to compress your pistons? It sounds like they may not have pressed in straight which would have them hang in the bore among other issues.

Today I received the instrument cluster and steering wheel w/switches to get some sweet EVIC action going on. The place I bought the steering wheel from actually sent me the entire steering column. Pretty sweet to get this stuff during free shipping weekend. I'll post some pics in the V6 section once I get everything installed.

Fought a 12-round battle with rusty downstream o2 sensors that were held in place by the power of Thor. Finally used a buddy's proper mechanic socket set vs my harbor freight bs one and immediately got them off....

Including the harness pins breaking and getting mixed up....
Now headed to junkyard this weekend to replace that little harness with new connector

Funny though, I was still just happy to get the old o2 sensors out before I hit the car with a sledgehammer so I'm satisfied

Fixed my AC (suspected control unit, but turned out to be resistor/ fuse in the wrong location in rear fusebox), replace thermostat with 180 version, replaced lower and upper radiator hoses, and installed new Gates serpentine belt...

Picked up a set of SRT8 wheels--need to remove all of the peeling plasti-dip crap on them. Any suggestions for easier removal? The wheels are quite nice underneath, but the plasti dip stuff is being stubborn.
