I know i am kinda pulling this thread from the grave, but does anyone know if the rear diff cooler would work on a 06 300c AWD?

Clarifying 215mm differential cooler part numbers...
Rectifier (heat sink cooler)...~$90 A 171 351 01 08
Cover (finned diff cover)......~$210 A 204 351 06 08 (compared to the A 204 351 05 08 listed on several threads)
^^UPDATE: Though the -06 08 cover is finned unlike the -05 08 cover, the passenger side mount is on a tab/ear instead of between the two bolts on the right side of the pumpkin, so the cover is still incorrect!^^
Bolts (you need two)...........~$5 N000000 001536

(Sorry, no pics of parts because LXF doesn't do simple, direct uploads.)

I don't want anyone else to waste $200 on this thinking it'll work - it won't. Just fab up the 1"x6" aluminum spacer as others have done.

Can you email me some pictures of this diff cooler as I am transplanting a newer 215mm SRT rear cradle with diff and may be
interested in adding this cooler. I would assume there are some benefits to this as well?

Adding CORRECT 215mm differential cooler part numbers that come from the E63, SL63, CLS63 and SL65...
Rectifier (heat sink cooler) ~$90 A 204 351 06 08 !!! That is 06, zero six, and NOT 05 !!!
Cover (finned diff cover) ~$210 A 171 351 01 08
Bolts (you need two) ~$5 N000000 001536

PM me an email.

According to fellas on the Benz forums, there was a Mercedes-Benz AMG press release (non-US) that claimed a 15°C cooling ability for this passive heat sink.

This "rectifier" meant to prevent cooking the pumpkin's oil during sustained, high-speed driving. Magazine reviews of tracking the US AMG models (without the diff cooler) apparently experienced some oil sputtering out of the vent after lapping sessions, so a case for the cooler is evident.

Thankyou I will pm you my email and I'd be interested in that part you have
as well.

Just send me an email. The cover usually comes from Germany and may be backordered. (I wound up with two covers so I have one available to sell.)

0009976532 for replacement drain plug for transmission pan, appears to be stronger than the old one.
