So, you really want to do this, eh?

This is the first version (06-22-06), I just wanted to get this started with an OEM parts list and pricing, so you know what you're in for.

(06-04-09) Wow, pathetic... 3 years later and I get around to adding more information? Sorry about that. I added info on the underbody shield, brake air ducts, and headlight washer nozzles (to fill those holes!) The headlight washers are confusing. From what I've been told, they require a second pump, additional tubes to feed off the resevoir (obviously), all of which seem to be difficult to track down parts numbers for.

*IMPORTANT NOTES - PLEASE READ!*
-Be aware that the HID light assemblies will physically fit directly in place of the HALOGEN 300C lights. If you choose to go the HID route, you must buy additional wiring harnesses not listed here.
-You must be sure that you order 300C lights and not 300 Touring lights, as they are shaped differently, requiring a different fascia and, possibly, tie bar.
-Some of these part numbers have a zero in front of them in the OEM catalogue, but it is not required to find it...
-I opted NOT to get the headlight pressure washer units as they were expensive and I had no knowledge as to how they would integrate with the washer fluid system and I didn't think I would ever use them.
-It cost me roughly $2,500.00 in paint and labor (all labor) to put this whole thing together, and I feel I was charged fairly and the workmanship - so far - has proven excellent. I know that paint/labor was a bit over $1,000 alone.

LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! so with paint the total was right around $4000?
My total price was just under $5,800 Keep in mind that there was NO guide for how to do this, so a lot of time was spent trying to get the right parts and trying to figure it all out, so some of that figured into the price. I rushed it a little and made an error by not going through Moparstore.com or similar online stores to get the parts. By the time I had figured out the savings involved with going through an online parts place, I had most of the expensive parts already in the shop and the dealer wanted 20% restocking fees if I returned anything...

I honestly believe I could have saved a LOT of money if I A) knew exactly what I needed going in, and B) ordered those OEM parts online. That's why this guide is here - to save the future generations some serious CASH!

Very cool for you to take the time to post all this information in an effort to save anyone interested in this mod a bunch of time and dough! The parts list is EXCELLENT.

Really...thanks!!! :beerchug:

Yes thanks for the advice on this. I repsect your courage to do this and document all the hassle you went through so that others can do this a lot easier. I know you were in a rush to get all this stuff but how much do you think you would of saved going with a used front end clip?
Thanks again and beans to you!

P.S. Nick, how much have you recouped from selling your Magnum parts?

It's really hard to tell. If I could have found someone to swap with me, then it would have been only labor less paint... so it may have only cost near $1,000? If I had found a 300C with a wrecked rear, I could have paid half price for the parts...

Um... ZERO? I have a listing of stuff for sale in the Buy/Sell section, but no one seems interested. I figured someone would jump all over the hood to do a shaker or something, but nothin' yet...

Just checked on the price to do this for me in korea about 5 grand for parts all the parts are about 60% more, this the hood was like 1250$ so I think ill wait till I move back home to the USA or If I can luck out and find a wrecked 300 with a good front end.

Thanks!

In Europe, the "Magnum" is sold as the 300 Touring, with all the versions: C, AWD, Diesel, SRT... It is essentially a Magnum with the 300 front-end, interior, and a special rear bumper. A couple forum members have one. IMO, it's the best of both worlds and has been my goal for the longest time!

I would love to do this to my magnum. A midnight blue 300 Magnum. Wow is all I can say.

The entire front "fascia" is one giant piece. The tie-bar is one piece. The grille is one piece. The side marker lights are each one piece. The fog lights are each one piece. The fenders are each one piece. This crude picture shows what the one piece fascia looks like.

*Hmm, the attach feature does not appear to be working...

Factory HID harness

What's up? Need some help, we built this conv using this awesome post on how to do it, however, you list above about additional wiring harnesses for the HID lights, any idea what harnesess those would be? Or how we could wire the lights to work? Any suggestions would be apprecaited!

Bad news on factory HIDs the Magnums don't accept the 300c/SRT HIDs their not wired for then the cheapest and most practical way is an aftermarket kit.

I would like to see the price difference (if any) between the parts for the C and the Magnum.
Recently I was involved in an accident that took out just about the entire front end... and I going to begin to work with the body shop to do the conversion for me and I would cover any added costs......
Are there people out there that have done this conversion after an accident? How did your insurance react to you wanting to install C front end on to a Magnum? Did the shop work with you to aid in getting what you want accomplished?
Very eager to know......
Be well, Mitch
