*EDIT 5/23/08* As you can all see we now have our own slice of LXF. The purpose of this thread will be for new member sign-ups and anything else you would like to chat about that really doesn't require it's own thread.

*EDIT 4/04/08* So, as you can see by the thread title change we are now officially DVMMC. Mike (SVT2MagnumRT) is currently working on a logo design. I would like to encourage anyone else who is feeling artistic to take a stab at it as well. We may wind up chosing one or combining ideas...who knows? My point is, the more people who take an active interest in anything we do as individuals or a group will bring a greater sense of family to our little crew. Hope to see you all soon.

I wanted to hang this out there. Interested in starting an LX Club that covers the Delaware Valley. I know LILX is relatively close, but the 2+ hour hike just isn't feasible for me 99% of the time and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I would say the club would pretty much cover the Philly broadcast market. I would think that would include all of NJ south of Trenton, Philadelphia and surrounding counties (bucks, chester, delaware, etc), as well as northern Delaware. If there's enough interest I think the best way to decide on club structure would be a majority vote. So, do we have any interest?

I'm anal and little things tend to irritate me. There is one thing that has irked the hell out of me since I joined this site...what genius put PA in Mid-Atlantic when DE is in North East? Last time I checked DE was south of PA. Somebody fail geography?

Are you trying to muscle in on my turf, buddy?:Na_Na_Na_Na:

J/K bro....actually that's a great idea as there are quite a few members in and around that area. You have my endorsement....not that it's worth a whole lot.
LOL

Good luck with the club!:beerchug:

Sounds logical to me.

You could still come up and visit us at E Town however.

Sure, I'm interested. I live about 7 miles outside of Reading in beautiful Berks County. I work in Warminster, so I have a nice hour long drive to and then from work.

So you can stick me on your list.

So who wants to start kicking around name ideas? If we can't come up with something creative that pulls the whole area together we can always take the easy way out and go with Delaware Valley LX or Del Val LX. Hell, it doesn't need to be a an area specific name. We could be the One Eyed Grease Monkeys or Rabid Garden Weasel LX for all I care. So long as we can get a consensus.

For further amusement...I had few ideas inspired by the wonderfully clean rivers and creeks that run through our area (Schuylkill, Delaware, Cooper, Neshaminy, Brandywine, etc).

Dark Water LX
Dirty Water LX
Murky Water LX
Toxic River Valley LX

All shenanigans aside...don't forget to recruit (read: harass) anyone you see posting from the area.

Hey Moonstreaker! You sure know how to keep a secret. If I hadn't been wandering in some other thread and come across this link, I wouldn't have know about the Del Val get-together. I'm in Bucks County PA, about 2 minutes from Philly and I grew up in the Trenton area. Count me in for this club/meet-n-greet/knowledge exchange!!!!

So do you guys think we should link this thread in General LX, since it seems not many people check out the regional forums?

My bad...your profile says Central PA, so I figured you were out near Harrisburg or State College.

P.S. According to the region descriptions, PA is not in the Northeast Region. So I been scanning the wrong regional thread?
Yeah, PA is lumped in Mid-Atlantic, but DE is part of the NE...go figure. I did post a link to this thread in the Mid-Atlantic section though.

On a personal note, I have noticed that we have a large percentage of SRT8's here. We need a few members with SE's so that my RT doesn't develop a complex. LOL
