*EDIT 5/23/08* As you can all see we now have our own slice of LXF. The purpose of this thread will be for new member sign-ups and anything else you would like to chat about that really doesn't require it's own thread.

*EDIT 4/04/08* So, as you can see by the thread title change we are now officially DVMMC. Mike (SVT2MagnumRT) is currently working on a logo design. I would like to encourage anyone else who is feeling artistic to take a stab at it as well. We may wind up chosing one or combining ideas...who knows? My point is, the more people who take an active interest in anything we do as individuals or a group will bring a greater sense of family to our little crew. Hope to see you all soon.

I wanted to hang this out there. Interested in starting an LX Club that covers the Delaware Valley. I know LILX is relatively close, but the 2+ hour hike just isn't feasible for me 99% of the time and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I would say the club would pretty much cover the Philly broadcast market. I would think that would include all of NJ south of Trenton, Philadelphia and surrounding counties (bucks, chester, delaware, etc), as well as northern Delaware. If there's enough interest I think the best way to decide on club structure would be a majority vote. So, do we have any interest?

I'm anal and little things tend to irritate me. There is one thing that has irked the hell out of me since I joined this site...what genius put PA in Mid-Atlantic when DE is in North East? Last time I checked DE was south of PA. Somebody fail geography?

Enough with the drug comments, I get enough of those at work. But I agree on the laxative part. Maybe keep it short and sweet with DVLX.

Why don't we take all of the suggested names or proposed names and do a poll? And If we don't like the name that is chosen we can do it again.:)j/k

#79 ·
I have an idea for a name poll. This would be a two part thing. The first part would be the name of the club and the second part of the pole would be for abbreviation. Since we have multiple abbreviation ideas for some of the names. Second part of vote is in the (brackets).

Delaware Valley LX (DelVaLX , DVLX, DelValLXC, DVLXC)
Delaware Valley Mopar/ Modern Mopar Muscle (DVM3, DVMC, DVM3C, DVM)
Dark/Murky Water LX (DWLX, DWLXC, MWLX, MWLXC)
Dark/Murky Water Mopar/Modern Mopar Muscle (DWM3, MWM3, DWM3V, MWM3C, DWMC, MWMC)

Open to suggestions and/or other ideas how to do this.

Sorry, had to list at least one of the off the wall non-DV names so I chose one at random.

Actually you haven't missed the M&G...it's this Saturday. Are group covers the entire "Philadelphia Area". So if you called Philly the center you would be about 1 hr 20 mins away? And the location of our meet would take about just as long if you were to come over the DE Memorial Bridge and go up the Turnpike.

#88 ·
Alright, since we never talked about a club name at the meet lets get this thing over with. I say we choose from Delaware Valley LX (Club) or Delaware Valley Modern Mopar (Club).

We can figure out what acronym we want to use after we pick a name. We can either cast our votes here in the thread or we can start a poll. If we start a poll we run the risk of non-members voting.

I wish we lived a little closer. Shanon and I had a great time. It was our first M&G everyone made us feel welcome. Just still waiting on my nails to grow back....lol lol

Just placed the order for my Bassani SS exhaust with Lisa from BMC. I'll have a whole new sound for the next M&G. Hopefully I'll enough time to install everything else that's piling up in the garage too. :thumbs_u:

It was great having you guys come down. If it were my car I would be waiting for my finger tips to grow back. I would have chewed them down to the bone. The car is looking great though, and that's what matters.

LX club

i am from bucks county and i drive a 06 Magnum SRT8. I also like del val lx club

You know, initially I really liked Delaware Valley LX Club, but the more I think about it, the more I actually like Delaware Valley Modern Mopar Club. To me, I know, and you know, that the LX is a platform, but most car people think of it as a trim level.

I also am not old enough to truly grasp the "essence" of what the term Mopar really embodies, but if we wouldn't be treading on any nostalgia flavor, and the term Mopar applies to us, then I'm all for reviving and sustaining a hallowed term with a contemporary context....so my official vote is:

Delaware Valley Modern Mopar Club, or DVMMC...it has a great ring to it.

Just my .02

How many representatives of the newly formed "DVLX" will be at E-town on Saturday? If you don't want to race you don't have to , you can come and show support.Hope to see all of you there, John

#100 ·
Sorry I was not able to make the first M&G, I was at the Scranton St. Patty's Day parade.

As far as E-Town goes, I work that weekend so I am out as well. Hopefully I get to participate before too long.

It's never too early to start kicking around ideas for our next M&G folks. Maybe something in mid/late April or early May. Anyone with an idea/suggestion is encouraged to speak up no matter how new you are.

And let's not forget people...we still need a name. If we don't have by the next M&G we'll just let one of the toddlers pick a name out of hat. LOL

*EDIT: Of coarse I get an idea right after I finish the post. How about a cook out...maybe somewhere along Cooper River Park?
