So, is this club done, is anyone interested in ressurecting it? Or should I let the mods let it die.

I really don't know I have been wanting to meet you guys but you are not doing anything. I found the Pa mopar group from here and they seem to be some cool guys I have gone to 2 of there M&G's and maybe you should check them out. But if you guys do get it back together I would come check you all out for sure.

Still here. I'll hang for a while, I would really like to see a Mid to South Jersey based Club stay alive. Seemed like a good bunch of guys too.

Probably still hibernating, I say give it a while. The spring weather will bring out the itch in all of us eventually. This morning only being 35 degrees doesn't mean it's spring yet!

It appears that the group has been abandoned by its creator and I hope that everything is OK with him. Since there are people willing to still participate, maybe someone should take over the reins and keep the group active. Just my two cents.

I don't know, looks like I'm switching gears to a less expensive hobby, nitro RC. I just don't have the money to do what I want to the full size car. My Rustler is on its way as I type.

If anyone from DVMMC really wants to be part of a Club, then the members of the Modern Mopar Club of America would be happy to have you join our group. We are based in Central Jersey and are in the process of reintroducing ourselves with our new name. We will be attending Carlisle this year as a Club and will actively be seeking new members.

When was the last time a few of you just got together for dinner, without it having to be an event? To me, that's the best reason for a club in the first place.
your right junior, but, if nobody logs on to the forum...
that ''gtg'' can't get started in the first place....
but, o hum... it was fun for a few minutes....
i'm just as much to blame as everybody,
i get wraped up the b-body, (all summer) then football,
until thanksgiving, then.... it christmas... so, i'm no better...

I have been hanginf out with these guys and they are all cool. family events, car shows and even national stuff. Great bunch of guys and and since this club looks like it was both a pa and nj club you might want to check them out. PAMOPARGROUP.COM and NJMOPARGROUP.COM.

Been here for a while, hanging out, waiting, watching, .....

I do not plan on going anywhere right now. The premise of this club still meets my needs. The locality and convienience are what I was looking for. I did not want to join a club that had too high of asperations, just the occational Meet-and-Greet at the local Burger Joint or Ice Cream Stand is what I desired. Not ones nessesarily organized by the club or held at a members house - too much work. I enjoy my car, and others cars - it was meant as a release from the daily grind, not to become one itself. I like the fact that we have a specific, unique model (or models) of car that we can build knowledge upon amonst ourselves. I think one of the reasons we might have had such a hard time organizing is that there were dissenting goals, ones like mine and others that desired much more of the club. Maybe I am not "Club Worthy", I do not want to exert to much energy into this, devote to much time into it, I just want to enjoy it. I was (and still am) willing to do help - but not to the point of taking over my other priorities, family.

If there are any other members out there still lurking in the shadows, you are not alone. I frequent these forums often, like I said watching and waiting. I still have hope. I do not want to join the other clubs mentioned, at least not right now. Central Jersey is too far for a regular commitment and Pa is just too,.... well it's Philly - TOO MANY other cars and people to deal with (zaps the fun right out of it for me). If this does fail, I can still pursue the Meets and Greets at FuddRuckers (and other local places) as a single, non-club affilliated, interested individual (although this damn recession has taken it's toll!)

Well I live in Philly so I really don't understand what you mean by too many cars and people to deal with? Every event I have gone to that the PA mopar group guys have done I have not felt pressure nor have I had to leave my family at home. They have a M&G once a month and its all been about family. On the weekends they go to car show sometimes on both days and I have taken my wife and 3 year old daughter to just about all of them. The car shows they seem to pick have had many events for kids, the last 3 weekends the car shows were at parks. I have myself waited to see what is going on with this group because reading the old post's, looks like a great bunch of guys to me. And since they have not had any M&G I just took a chance and went to a pa mopar M&G.

I feel just like you I like my car but my family comes first over everything! And the pa club seems really geared to wards the family. I work long stressful hours during the week so my weekends have to involve my family period! The pa mopar guys seem real lady back there president Claude and I think its the same one that was banned here. Seems like he really is trying to make something good over that is family geared. For me I just want to relax and have fun like you said. So maybe you should check them out.

And I have also gone to North NJ, Del and MD events to check them out and talk about lots of people and cars. I like to go to M&G at burger joint by myself! I would not take the chance of having my 3 year old stand in the parking lot of those events!

Anyway when you guy do have a M&G or whatever I will of course check you out seems like your events are right over the bridge.

No disrespect towards the Philly guys. I have relatives in Philly that I do not see as often as I'd like to. I used to live just accross the Tacony Bridge in NJ but now I live further south - just on the Jersey side of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. It's not the excess of cars and people at the events that I am talking about, it's getting there and back. Living here in Lower Slower Jersey has blessed me with a more "country" life - just going further north in jersey gets me frustrated, TRAFFIC!! My wife can attest to the tension in the car when I get caught up in increasing population densities on the highways. Will I go to an occational car show in Philly,.. sure - once, maybe twice a year. But I do not feel I would be a worthwhile member of any organization either.

By the way my youngest is now a freshman at Rutgers (yes, Camden sucks too) but I feel Fuddruckers puts on a very safe show for all ages. There are cars shows in Woodstown, Vineland, Pennsville, Deptford as well as Turnersville - all south and east of the Mason Dixon Line, all put on very safe by various clubs. I wouldn't have even thought of becoming part of a club, but this was specifically geared toward the LX's.

I am sure that these other clubs are made up of great guys. I actuall had my Shaker and flares installed by Ernie at 402 Motoring - he seemed like a great guy and I believe he is pretty much in the same area as the Central Jersey Club, and that was quite a haul from here. I guess I am just spoiled with being able to get from here to there without hitting numerous traffic lights and traffic to deal with.

mostly everything this club did was in Pa with the exception of the fuddruckers once in a while which only drew a few cars. Alpo how did your shaker turn out? How was the paint? Did they mold your ring or did you go old school MOPAR style?

The Shaker turned out beautiful! Ernie "Molded" the ring on and the paint matches perfectly. I do have one area that needs attention though, clearance. When I obtained the Shaker I also opted for the underhood ducting cover, Ernie could not put the cover on due lack of clearance. There is also some interference remaiing between the main shaker assembly under the hood that he could not adjust out, and now I have some small paint damage on the shaker, albeit under the hood. After talking to others with the shaker, in order to get more clearance I might have to dig down further and lower the stock airbox and associated parts to get the needed clearance, I also believe there is some factory air ducting no longer used that can be removed under the box that might allow for some lowering. When I get the time I will need to remove the parts needed and see whats up down there, I do not believe it hopeless. I have no reservations on the Shaker though - IT LOOKS GREAT! Since then I have also added the "Cuda AAR" stripes down the side as well and a set of Proxes STII tires.

Since the recession my work hours have been noticably cut back (but I do not have any current fears of unemployment yet) and mods have come to a screaming halt. I am also in a wait mode to see what the Bankruptsy brings as far as my lifetime Warranty is concerned. Luckily my particular Dealer was NOT on the list of closures. My thoughts go out to those in less fortunate situations than myself, I know I have little to complain about,.... right now at least.

We'll see what time brings,....

On a side note, I got a text from Bill yesterday. He is fine, and expecting the new baby this week. Just wanted to let you all know he is ok.
