Are the tunes VIN agnostic, meaning if someone has a base tune from 6.1 equipped car, can I upload that to my PCM? I bought a car in which the drivetrain was parted out, leaving only the PCM associated to the cars VIN number. I was told by the PO that the car had a fairly modified / tuned motor in it, this leads me to believe that the current tune in the PCM is setup for mods other than mine. I bought and installed a stock 6.1, which does start and run but I'm concerned that the tuning may negatively impact the engine. I'm hoping I can get a base, stock-ish tune to install, otherwise I guess I'll have to just use one of the Diablosport canned tunes and use the tune on the car now as the base.
Second questions, if I disable the 02 sensors using the Diablosport, will an emissions machine see them as disabled and throw up a red flag or does the tune tell the ECU to trick the machine?
If you use an i3 or t2, we can start off by loading a 100% stock file to the pcm before you even try to tune it.
From there you can load one of our canned tunes or have it further custom tuned if you wish.
Any disabled emissions controls will cause problems with any e-test, and should not be disabled for street use.
No forum discounts unfortunately.
That said, check with some of the retailers here who may offer such a member discount, as most of them carry our products
Also, if you have any old tuners laying around (I don't care what it is) we'll take it on trade toward a new device and give you a discount.
You'll select one of our tunes from the menu and it will then read out and save the backup. it will put a copy of it on the i3 USB drive in the folder called tunes.

If it asks to update the pcm before it does anything else, then you are all set and it will do it on its own. If not, give us a call and ask to force a calibration update to make sure you are startling with a 100% stock file.
